Nike Air Pegasus ALL NEW MODELS 30, 31, 32 and up

Which shoe has a more plush cushion feel. The Vomero 11 or Odyssey?

The Vomero's definitely have a more plush, cushioned feel to them. Odyssey's are still pretty plush but they have a more supportive feel, ala, what they are designated for. Vomero has been a flagship of being Nike's premium cushioned shoe for a long time now. The newest iteration definitely improves as the 6-9's were bigtime letdowns.

Agreed with MP23. Vomeros and Odysseys are essentially the same level of cushion. However, the denser foam on the medial side (along the arch) gives the Odyssey a firmer feel. On the other hand, it also makes it a little more responsive. Man, I wish there was more discussion on performance stuff, and not just how the shoes look haha.

Thank you for the response. Does the Vomero 11 feel similar to the 10? I have Pegasus 29 30 and 32. Vomero 10 and Structure 19. I like the Pegasus 30 Vomero 10 and Stucture 19 the best. No where local to me has the Odyssey or Vomero 11 for some reason to even try on

The Vomero 11 is a little softer than the 10. It has more cushion around the ankle and uses a lower-density blown rubber on the outsole, so it's a bit squishier. Hope that helps!

It really depends on what works best for YOU and your preferences. The 33 has both forefoot and heel Zoom, while the 32 only has it in the heel. It depends what you want in a running shoe.

Personally, I think the 33 are superior to the 32 from a performance perspective. I have both but find myself reaching for the 33 when I run as they have a faster feel.

Cushion. My knees are destroyed.

I tried the 32 and 33, and they seem kinda stiff (granted I didn't run in them) - I'm looking to turn towards adidas boosts.

Have you tried the Lunar Epic or Zoom All Out?

I actually have the Lunar epic, great walking shoes (I just un-ds'd them two days ago). Cushion is awesome, but I feel my Achilles area being scratched often.

^ the epic lows should be out by the end of the month, which might solve your Achilles problem.

There'll be lows?! I thought I had checked the thread but didn't see anything about them. Thanks for the heads up, repped.

Vomero 10s would also be a good (and cheap) option. They're equipped with forefoot and heel Zoom and Lunarlon. I've been running in my second pair of V10s for all of June. I've only got about 28mi to hit 100mi for the month.

luong1209 luong1209 , this is the one I agree with most. I'm a half-marathoner and powerlift, too. My flat feet mean I have ZERO shock absorption when I run. The Zoom All Out is a performance-oriented shoe. It's meant to go fast, not provide so much cushion. The Vomero 10 (11 if you don't mind plunking down the cash) is built to cushion and I've used it myself with success. I do the Odyssey now, for all the cushion, plus more support. Don't rule out the All Out immediately, try it on, see how it feels, but it doesn't seem like it's up your alley.

For what it's worth, I'm a former coach for older distance runners and was a marketing/footwear manager at a running specialty store for some time.

luong1209 luong1209 I also agree with illustrayt illustrayt and nightrunner nightrunner ! I've had previous left knee injuries and ran with the Pegasus and the Pegasus 31 was probably the only shoe that helped me out the most. The 32s didn't work out for some reason... I don't know what happened, but it looked like the same shoe but it didn't feel right. I haven't tried the Zoom Vomero 10s, but I've heard great things about it, and the Zoom Vomero 11 is the shoe I use to run as my regular running shoe. Referring back to what Nightrunner said and if you check out my review on the Nike Zoom All Out Flyknits in the Zoom All Out Flyknit thread, that shoe is indeed made for performance, especially with the focus on speed since it's inspired by track performance/shoes. I mean, it does provide an abundant amount of cushioning if you're a fan of Zoom Air, but it doesn't give you that full support compared to a road running shoe, because the Flyknit upper is so minimal and there's a bit of empty space on the skirts of the shoe that if you were to land on the road unevenly, you'd be nervous about every step [of course, depending on where you run on].

From my knowledge, Zoom Air + Lunarlon will be friendliest to the knees, so I'd give the Vomero 10s or 11s a try. The 10s has the higher praise, and it's cheaper right now. Pure Lunarlon like the LunarEpics or the Lunartempos is just way too soft that it doesn't have enough responsiveness for your joints, and you'll just end up feeling it about a mile or two in. That last sentence is just me and my experience since Lunarlon shoes has historically never worked for me for that reason. Again, I'm on the Vomero 11 now and my knees have been feeling great in those at the end of every run.

I'm really tempted to order the Volt-to-Black Peg 33iDs, but I want to see what the Epic Low iDs have to offer first.

Yeah V10's are great. Did the majority of my spring marathon training and the race in the total crimson colorway. Been stocking up on clearance pairs.

Been a basketball shoe guy my whole life (Jordans, Iversons, Lebrons, KD's Nike basketball etc.) and I've been switching over to runners because they're just so comfortable.  I've been wearning nothing but flyknit frees, huarache's and the air max 16 has been a go to as of late.  I saw the pegasus 33 in that white, blue and volt colorway and am in love...wow!!
