Are you ever too old to wear sneakers cqasually?

I'm not siding with this dude frosty, but I'm not buying this dude illphillip saying he's been to the finest clubs/bars/restaurants with sneakers on,

Unless you are a celeb or dropped major dough, doubt that is true. Then again "finest clubs" is a fairly objective term.

I know in Vegas you ain't getting in to a top notch club with sneakers on, unless you are "someone".

So what's a "top notch club" in Vegas? Marquee? XS? Surrender? Tao? Haze? I haven't been to Hakkansan yet. Not even sure it's open yet?

I'm not a celeb and I didn't drop major dough.

If you're not buying it, you're not paying attention to where I'm coming from.

Read between the lines.....but what you're "buying" doesn't effect my reality either way. So you can laugh at your own statement all you want.

Are there really THAT many bars/restaurants that have a dress code as well? I never said I've been to the finest of those. But I can damn sure eat/drink well in sneakers in any US city.

When I'm in Vegas, I'm all about In N' Out anyway since we don't have them in NY. HA!

illphillip = Phillip Seymour Hoffman

More like Damon Dash but with his bridges intact. HA!

27 and i still wear tennis shoes. i have a good mix of course though with other shoes.
at over 200 pairs that i actually wear.

For all the 30+ rocking sneakers: Do ya'll have "nice" jobs/careers? Like are ya'll doctors, lawyers, or stuff like that? I think that makes a difference, too.
I'm 36 year old engineer and I still wear sneakers daily. It all depends where you going, It's about what you like and wearing them appropriately. I wouldn't wear foams to a fancy restaurant or Jordan's to a wedding.

Anyway, not to derail this thread.

I love sneakers, but slowly I'm wearing them less and less and it's not really on purpose. Free's to the gym, and usually to run errands. I wear dress shoes to work Monday through Thursday. On Friday's (Casual), sometimes I wear Nike's/Jordans, sometimes I wear other types of shoes (i.e Vans, Clarks, Sperry's). When I go out, depends on the occasion, if I'm going to a nice dinner/occasion, I'm not rocking sneakers.

Still love 'em, the only reason I don't purchase with more frequency is because it's a hassle to get most sneakers now.

Flyknits though... :smokin

I remember I used to always get into pure and tao with my all black nike dunks haha

Agree with time and place. Work/business = dress shoes, errands/everyday I wear some delta forces, maxes or beat up cortezs. I'm not into the loud colors or anything like that so I have a lot of plainer nikes/sbs that are more casual. Going "out" I have all black sbs or to clubs I have some cheap all black mossimo shoes from target. Do those count?

Remember, not all sneakers/nikes are yeezys or hi top js. The casual sneaks are great for everyday

If anything designer sneakers are more childish than Nikes. Trying to hard.

And cats swear because they can't get into certain places with sneakers on that no one else can unless they're dropping dough, the reality is that if your getting in out of dress code, chances are you're not paying anything to get in. Interesting defense mechanism though.

I have a pair of DS Viotechs that I'm planning on breaking out when I'm 50. You ain't telling me nothin.

as or right now, i'm 31 and still rock Nikes casually. some of them are too comfortable not to wear.

like it's been mentioned before, you know when to and when not to wear sneakers. it's that simple.

i teach a kids class and mark wahlberg comes every week. hes always in jordans. subtle clean fits. he gonna wear pradas to a sports class? like others have posted CHI as example.
know when and where to do it.

im only 24 and i plan to wear my kicks on saturdays and when i hit disneyland with the kids (looking way into my future)

You only live on this planet once. Are you gonna spend your time here trying to following some protocol of what being an "adult" is according to others or are you gonna wear and do what you feel like?

I'M GONNA DO WHAT I FEEL DAMMIT!!!!
