Are you ever too old to wear sneakers cqasually?

Personally I'll never understand people who where "dress shoes" when they don't have to, them joints ain't comfortable.

I'll be rocking sneakers whenever I can till I kick the bucket

A great pair of dress shoes can be just as if not more comfortable than a pair of sneakers.
what type of sneakers are you rocking dude?

Dress shoes need to evolve. Put some damn cushioning in those things. I'm not talking about those Cole Haan ones or just putting some insoles. I want some comfortable cushioning in there. Don't know why it's the standard to wear them with thin dress socks. Those aren't comfortable either. I'd rather walk around in some light sneakers with cushioned socks than dress shoes any day.

ANYBODY dressing to please other folks for leisure/lounging wear is an IDIOT.

The clothes don't make the man, the man makes the clothes.

You can put a pig in gucci suits, LV loafers, and diamond necklaces, and that pig gonna go right to that slop house and roll in it's own sh*t.

Wear what you like no matter who or what you are.

Saying someone is too old to wear sneakers is just stupid.

Repped. I agree, because that is also like saying I am a business professional at work, and I can't eat Lunchables during my meal break; just adult-oriented food.

As for me, I will just wear sneakers wherever I go, from the Wal-Mart Supercenter for shopping to heading to campus for studying and researching.

I don't think its a such thing as being to old to rock kicks.. I think people get caught up in the "grown and sexy" or "getting my grown man on" steez and feel like they have to put their kicks up once they reach a certain age.. I think that ish is stupid, I rock kicks on the reg and I wear dress shoes when I have to.. My momz and dad still rock kicks and they're in their mid 50's so I don't see a reason for me to stop when Im in my 20's..

I've come to except that sneakers have been and will be a part of my life forever. It's all about moderation and dressing appropriately when needed but there is no such thing as being too old or career oriented for sneakers. Word to Steve Jobs

You only live on this planet once. Are you gonna spend your time here trying to following some protocol of what being an "adult" is according to others or are you gonna wear and do what you feel like?
This.

 at the idea of being "too old" for anything.

For all the 30+ rocking sneakers: Do ya'll have "nice" jobs/careers? Like are ya'll doctors, lawyers, or stuff like that? I think that makes a difference, too.
I'm an attorney. Mid 30s. My last couple of pick ups were:
1. Bred XI
2. Zoom turfs
3. Air max 2013
4. Lebron low ix USA

These get rocked on the weekends.

never too old in my opinion, most comfortable shoes are sneakers and thats the truth, i've worn comfy dress shoes but nothing compares to a pair of sneakers (most comfortable pair i've ever worn are the lunarglide 4s)

I teach phys ed so I have to wear sneakers to work. I also wear jerseys, t shirts and sweatpants. Thank God I don't work in an office, I hate dressing up, that's not my style and it never will be, no matter how old I am, I don't care what anybody says. If someone doesn't like it then that's their business, I'll just stay being comfortable :smokin

Reviving an old thread. I'm 48 and wear Jordans on casual Fridays and weekends whenever possible. I love when someone in their late teens or twenties sees my Jordan 11 Green Snakeskins and then stops me to say how awesome they are. They don't treat me like I'm old but more like in their world. That's the fountain of youth right there. I also wear Jordan 11 Legend Blues, Jordan 2 o.g, varsity red white, Jordan 13 CP3 PE, Jordan 3 infrared 23, 6 rings bred, and the infrared 10. Throw in some Stan Smiths and New Balance 574 and I'm just about all set with kicks, but then I see those 12's dropping in February......

Would love to see more from other older sneakerheads.

There was a lively conversation about this recently in the command force thread lol

That's my inventory! With Jordan Retros, I think that Jordan 5's, 6's, 7's, and 8's are too young in their design for me. But it's purely subjective. Probably the 11's are arguably too youthful in some eyes, too.
