Are you ever too old to wear sneakers cqasually?

pop tart needs to step his confidence game up. yeah i'm not showing up to my homies wedding in cg11's. but showing up to meet my friends in jays and being embarrassed? the hell?

To be honest, don't wear Nikes too much anymore.

At the same time, I will be eternally grateful for the shoe knowledge I have accumulated over my golden years of collecting.

The sweet thing about this hobby is that the classics will forever be. I will always admire heat when I see it.

And too old to be rocking? TF? The Nike community's most popular retros probably released in the late 1980's-early 1990's...that **** should be attracting 30+ year olds.

man my 62 year old pops still wears sneakers. i gave him some of my old AM 1 and 90s. He loves them because he has a messed up foot and the air insole provides stability.
Why would you torture your pops like that. Sportswear air maxes are the most uncomfortable shoes for me and I can't imagine wearing them for a entire day at the age of 40+

Get him some air monarchs. His feet will thank you.

Certain shoes.

Like you cant be 40 years old wearin panda bear jeremy scotts.

 I came in here to say EXACTLY this. If I EVER catch gramps rocking those fluffy *** kicks...

I'll be wearing sneakers forever though.

Nothing wrong with wearing sneakers when you're older. I mean, pretty much the entire male population on earth has them

The only difference age makes is knowing when/where/how to wear them, which unfortunately a lot of young people don't get (like wearing suits with sneakers).

Or like sckid said, certain shoes can't be worn (and shouldn't be worn by anyone in general :x). Yeezy, spiked Louboutins, Jeremy Scotts...you get the drift

This i agree with. And i'm not embarrassed to wear kicks with friends i just would be if i ran into someone related to business on the streets In the same **** hs kids are wearing. similar to how i can hang with a good friend while badly needing a haircut but might not wanting to be seen by others.

As for the biggest best thing, that was in response to a quote. Too much work to do on mobile, but no i don't care about just the "best" things.

35 and wear sneakers all the time, just not at work. Most of the cats I know around my age wear them casually too.

I don't do loud colors anymore, but believe I have a nice rotation of Air Forces and Air Maxes to chill and run errands in.

I'm 28 and still casually wear Jordans (3's,4's,5's,6's,7's,8's,11's,13's..original colorways that Mike wore & can't be too loud/flashy.) & I wear Air Max 95's basically every day to work, they're my 'go-to' kicks....Luckily, my business isn't corporate, it's a machine shop so it's usually jeans/sweats & a t-shirt because of all the dust/grease...My J's are usually worn on the weekend when I'm with my wife and daughter....my baby girl is only 3 months old and already has more heat than some of ya'll...

I think passed 28 is too old. Lol. But I think some entertainers are too old to wear what they wear

You would think there comes a point when you're too old, but to me, it's all about your style and how you feel most comfortable.

I'm sure there are some pairs I'll stay away from as I get older, maybe some of the louder colors, but I still plan on rockin' sneakers as much as I want to

I don't see myself not ever wearing sneakers. I'm 28 and my career allows for me to and I wouldn't have it any other way

Nope.

How your wear them though, should change.

You shouldn't be 30 rocking the matching tee

I gave him 4 lightly worn pairs.

Get the **** out of here with this. "Embarrassed" wearing sneakers on the weekend? This sounds so foolish.

I can't imagine anyone taking life advice from someone spewing this nonsense.

Anytime someone on here uses the term "relevant", it it usually an instant fail.

Won't get into specifics, but let's just say I do well for myself, have a wife and family, I'm over 30 and yes, I still wear Jordans, Forces etc. Constantly.
It's good to hear that. I don't want to be that weird corporate dude that still wears sneakers if it'll inhibit my professional life.

Just turned 27 a few months ago. Still wear sneakers everyday to work. Feels good walking into my building wearing sneakers and shorts in the summer while other people have to wear suits. I work in IT btw.
