Are you ever too old to wear sneakers cqasually?

I think passed 28 is too old. Lol. But I think some entertainers are too old to wear what they wear

What am I wearing after 28 if sneakers are out the question then? I gotta wear hard bottoms, my Wolverine 1000k boots and top-siders everywhere I go?

I wear a polo, cardigan, cropped trousers and air maxes to an outdoor event, am I out of line?

I'm in my 30s and wear sneakers to work and for fun, in fact around the courts in the area a lot of the clerks know me as that guy that likes sneakers. It helps that my job has me running around from place to place all day long and that I'm on my feet and not actually meeting with clients, but I never feel out of place because I'm wearing sneakers and not dressier shoes. I own nice shoes and when the situation merits those are what I wear, but I feel comfortable wearing what I want wherever and never get more than a second glance.

I love it when i see 35-45+ aged people rocking some heat and not dress shoes or boots all the time.

i dont think so my boy saw a 72 year old woman wearing the black yeezy 2's at his job the other day

Wearing sneakers at an older age is like dipping into the fountain of youth. There's no dress code for being old.

The funny thing is that you actually believe that what you wear on your feet has anything to do with growing up. You have a lot to learn.

If I cared to get into detail, I could really make you look incredibly foolish with the idea of me paying to get into any club.

"miss me on that". "butt hurt". Yes, you certainly sound like the arbiter of maturity and "growing up".

Prom? What does someone going to prom have to do with wearing sneakers when you're older? You're all over the place.

I wore a Hugo Boss tux and proper patent leather shoes to my wedding BTW. Another completely idiotic comparison to wearing sneakers on the weekend.

You sound like you have a lot more to worry about than just your footwear kiddo. Get your mind right.
What line of work are you in?

I'm 30 and still wear retro Nikes and OGs from the 90s or shoes like my new Lebron X Lavas casually and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. How old are the older ones here that still wear this kind of shoes casually?
those are some nice kicks man...but to answer your question do what YOU think is right.

If I'm going to the grocery store or a friends house, I'll throw on a pair of sneakers.. but my days of wearing sneakers to any sort of public outing are long gone.

I'm not siding with this dude frosty, but I'm not buying this dude illphillip saying he's been to the finest clubs/bars/restaurants with sneakers on,

Unless you are a celeb or dropped major dough, doubt that is true. Then again "finest clubs" is a fairly objective term.

I know in Vegas you ain't getting in to a top notch club with sneakers on, unless you are "someone".

Anyway, not to derail this thread.

I love sneakers, but slowly I'm wearing them less and less and it's not really on purpose. Free's to the gym, and usually to run errands. I wear dress shoes to work Monday through Thursday. On Friday's (Casual), sometimes I wear Nike's/Jordans, sometimes I wear other types of shoes (i.e Vans, Clarks, Sperry's). When I go out, depends on the occasion, if I'm going to a nice dinner/occasion, I'm not rocking sneakers.

Still love 'em, the only reason I don't purchase with more frequency is because it's a hassle to get most sneakers now.

Flyknits though... :smokin

Ummmmm, the most expensive shoe I have right now is AM 90 and they're beat up. The ones after that are a few roshes which cost like $77. Shoe days are over for me. I like the 3s but they look so damb big and bulky with 513's :smh: just doesn't look right.

All this

When you grow up you just sorta know that theres a time and place for everything. You cant wear sneakers everywhere though your preferences and style may change. You might end up wearing dress shoes and desert boots more times than throwing on some Jordans for example.

I strongly believe if you grew up liking sneakers, and built up a decent collection, you're always going to have a thing for them. Maybe you wont wear them as much, or buy them as much, but theres a kid in all of us. I personally dont wear sneakers as much but I still love em. If I didnt have other obligations I would have gotten a lot more recent releases. Most of my sneaker purchases nowadays are Nike running type sneakers and basketball kicks to use on the court. Last casual purchase was probably the BC3's that came out not too too long ago.

There is a time and a place for everything. I will wear them casually and dress shoes to work. The loud colors have to stop though

Kinda off topic but sneakers to you or someone elses wedding NEVER sat right with me.

I understand you love concord XIs, i do to.
But dat ish looks weird.

Not even if tinker hatfield wore XIs to his 11th wedding anniversary would that be okay.
