"Nike continues spelunking down the deep caverns of its Hoops catalog by bringing out the Nike Air Flightposite once again. A few notable occurrences in this 2013 Retro; first off, the colorway is unlike anything we’ve ever seen, spurning the monotone color-blocking for a multi-layered composition, and secondly this 2013 Sample will feature no zipper enclosure on the upper. The Nike Air Flightposite is known for the inner bootie construction with a shroud, but it appears that these will be something along the Nike Air Foamposite Lite in that it won’t feature any shroud on the upper."

What is Nike doing!? First the hyperflight's now the flightposite's are given the hypebeast treatment in favor of OG treatment.....

When he (Gentry) said they were coming back on twitter I was excited.  After reading and seeing this, I think I'm just gonna throw in the towel.

Agreed

And they keep trying to force the hypebeast look on shoes that don't have that quality at all

That's what the damn hybrids are for... look at a FP1 there's nothing "hypebeast"/"lifestyle" about it, so why try?????
 
WHat am I looking at? The zipper is one of the main components/characteristics of the shoe. That's like dropping foam 1s with orthopedic looking Velcro straps in place of the laces. I'm good on these. Pass
 
-There was a sketch waaay back (like 1999/2000) in the day I dunno if it was official or fan made but it showed the Flight Ones with laces, and they looked gorgeous.

-Problems with these I see:

1. The toe are is way off compared to regular Flight. The foam cut is way too long.

2.The sole is off, there are suppose to be peaks flowing into the grooves with the sole.

3. The shoe was too high cut.

- So on second thought, maybe these are Flightposite hybrid not just the Flight Ones without laces. Dolce taking the 4 Flightposite shoes (1-3 and the Ultras) and forming a new design

-But why not just retro the ******g Flight 3s. Seriously Gentry :smh:

i thought we already had a poor man's flightposite that da kiddies loved...

da solo flight...





these were everywhere smh...
 
I think this is Nike trying to turn Flightposites from an athletes shoe into a hypebeasts shoe by making them look more like Foamposites.


Shoes with Zippers have never really been mass-marketable outside people that actually wear them for athletic activity.
Zippered shoes are viewed as too technica/extreme looking for most people to wear casually without feeling silly.

I think removing the Zipper from the FP1 is Nikes attempt at exploiting Foamadness making this shoe more palatable to beasts... I can already see cats calling these "Foamposite 2s" :x
