The poorest way possible to conduct yourself in an argument is to do these three things

1) Constantly insult your opponent, with the same joke no less. (Sign that you've lost hope)

2) Result to physical threats

3) Reject your opponent when they join the argument. When people from the thread about nothing come in to argue or defend themselves you toss them out, why? You just want to argue with yourself and no one else.

Exactly. By Ninja's logic, all teams are separate from NT and should be eliminated.

TAN does not "suck the energy" out of general. Some of the guys in there are huge contributors to the rest of the site, and not just general.

Secondly, I can't tell you how many times I've seen a post in TAN and someone eventually said, "Hey, that would make a great thread" or something a long those lines, and that thread is then created.

Thirdly, as a contributor of TAN I can confirm that 99.9% it is most definitely, about nothing.
