i am well aware of that

they also use the term half caste is the U.K

but that term refers to bi racial people, And i was talking about America where mulatto is a throwback term

and the term mixed does not necessarily mean biracial or half caste.

i think you misinterpreted my post thinking that i was saying people do not acknowledge mixed race people.

They absolutely do, but they are not throwing around the term mulatto like back in the day.

In America you are more likely to hear aforementioned terms like mixed, bi racial and others like multiracial, creole and the oh so famous "i got indian in my family" line but

not so much mulatto.

P.S Elle Varner aint ugly but she does give off that use to be a big girl vibe

@aNYone

I agree with everything you said, butyour gonna have to explain to me how mixed doesn't equal biracial.

Are you talking about people who have been multiracial for centuries like people from latin america, guyana or trindad.. Etc...?

if you read what i said mixed does not necessarily mean bi racial

it most definitely does and can but not all the time.

growing up mixed could mean any close/ discernible racial variety

so if you came from a black father and bi racial mother you were mixed or two biracial parents = mixed

my family is west indian so the scenario @enlightenedespot  may count as mixed for example a cooly person

i know exactly the kind of people youre talking about @paulprince3730   im not talking about them

mixed wouldnt mean them girls in the hood who claim that alleged 1/16th native american to there death.

nah, havin a biracial parent dont mean you mixed, and havin two biracial parents dont mean you mixed

yo parent/ parents is mixed
