"Scandal" on abc discussion thread

Mellie ain't no Claire Underwood though (Robin Wright from House Of Cards). Princess Buttercup in House Of Cards is an ice cold glass of water...

Mellie is :x

Ain't mad she did that tho. I thought they would since they were flirting at the gun range.

That Cyrus scene was too much.

Thats exactly what I wanted to happen. Exposure!

Is this dude Fitz being serious? He cant be right? Where does he get the right to be mad about that?

Old I gotta have my cake and eat it too dude

Wish Mellie would have blown up on dude. They need to kill him or something.

The way this episode ended

^ bruh Mellie is the one who pushed Fitz away. Not smashing for 10 years? Ain't no one got time to love someone who doesn't love them back.

On top of that she made him believe it was his fault that she was frigid, thats scandalous.

She bears that burden so she didnt totally destroy what little family relationship he had. If he knew the truth this wouldnt be an issue and he'd feel like a douche.

I dont think her intention was to make him feel like its his fault, that dude is just self centered as all hell. "I can cheat on my wife all day, but the minute she does something, its time for me to flip out". I dont believe dude for a second when he said he woudlnt have cheated either.

Son, they basically alluded to her cheating on Fitz before he ever cheated on her.

Son there was a 10 year gap between him not having sex with Mellie and him cheating with Olivia.

In those 10 years, if their relationship ever got back on track, back to normal, I think it would be safe to say he wouldn't have cheated.

If Mellie would have told him what his father did then he would have never been President. I see both sides actually.

So many shenanigans this episode.

This dude Andrew was getting head from the First Lady in the White House with the President literally in the other room like a boss.

I understand Fitz feeling some type of way about the affair with Mellie and Andrew, especially with the reasons he thinks Mellie shut him out year ago, but he really has no ground to stand on.

Another weird Huck and Quinn scene.

Can't really blame Harrison for getting caught up again.

Quinn and Huck's kissing scenes have to be intentionally awkward and repulsive.

Boppin dude off in the white house tho? And your daughter catches you? And your children call him uncle? Thats all types of foul.

Theres many gay actors on television that don't make it that uncomfortable though.

Like Matt Bomer aka Neil Caffrey

Might be awkward for huck (forced) since he's homosexual.
Nah I doubt that's it.

In the 752 episode from last season, Guillermo Diaz had kissing scenes with Jasika Nicole (who's also gay) and it looked natural.

I think they're making their kissing scenes weird on purpose.

Did you miss the episode where Fitz father raped her and she had his child? That's the reason why she no longer was having sex.

To elaborate on this, during the scene between Fitz and Mellie arguing Olivia walked in and Mellie was about to expose the issue between her and Fitz father. She kept opening and closing her mouth and because of Olivia she found a way out. This secret will probably come out during the next episode and may actually help their marriage by making Fitz realize what happened to Mellie. They are both dirty for what they did to eachother but makes for great entertaining television.

Show had so many FEELS this episode and doesn't look like it is slowing down.

Am I the only one that finds Scandal has subpar acting?

It used to be there was only one "scandal" that would last an episode or sometimes carry over into a second ep. As Rhimes has ratcheted up the drama, there are now a minimum of 6-8 scandals per episode & the level of melodrama is at Super Saiyan levels now.

Olivia's father (is it Rowan or Elijah) is the worst. Great actor but Rhimes has him constantly monologueing.

Overall the acting was always a little mellow dramtic but it's really bad now. This is essentially a night time soap now just like Grey's Anatomy.

Man I said similar things this mornign to someone. I miss the one problem one episode format. This whole huge convoluted story with like 8 love story subplots is annoying. Every episode is starting to feel the same.

I got the impression watching since episode 1 that Rhimes was going to do a semi serious show about a DC insider & than she changed her mind & racheted up the mellow drama. Jimmy Kimmel jokes aside, the show really does have the feel of a Telenovela or something. Last night's ep was hilarious because everyone was getting yambs.

There's only but so many times one can watch Olivia realize she's a slide at the end of the episode only to see her bent over at the start of the next episode :smh:

Can't wait for the Huck/Charlie Final Showdown. You know it's coming!

This show keeps me entertained. Mellie needs to drop that bomb. I want to see that egg on Fitz's face.

Im tired of papa popes monologues also. (but they do be on point)

Mama pope gives no dambs
