It doesnt say in this article but apparently Karimah and Katrina Elkins are the kid's mom and aunt and they were also arrested for providing false info

wait what? So the mom and aunt gave a tip about the gun used in the shooting, but it wasn't the actual gun?

Naw, they made false statements....were arrested for making them and then they gave information to help find a gun..after they were already in custody.

It doesnt say what the false information was.

How could anyone lie for someone who is capable of shooting a baby? If it was my son and he did that I would turn his *** in quick fast. You aren't doing them any favors letting them get away with stuff like that.

You say that now. God forbid you ever have to be in that position.

god forbid anyone be put in a situation like that, but I will not defend my son if he is wrong. He is 6 now and i can tell you that I wouldn't allow him to think I will protect him when he is wrong. That's not what a parent does.

Well..... when you have guys on a message board that make everything possible into TEAM BLACK VS. TEAM WHITE... guys like Victor Page take this as a victory (even though nobody is gonna win anything here, except for jail time and death). It speaks to the child mentality of some of the members, "time for some members to eat crow" . It takes a crappy person to take this situation and act like its a personal victory, when there are nothing but questions up in the air, a dead child, and 2 suspects (who may or may not have shot a child in the face).

It takes a person whose fed up with a crappy society where black males are guilty until proven innocent far too often, no matter what the details of the case are, to respond with "time for some members to eat crow". I don't think anybody is taking anything as a personal victory. And I don't think it has anything to do with a lack of caring for a child that lost their lives, I'm sure everybody here is sick about that. But it has everything to do with frustration from a clearly racist system. It's a frustrated reactionary response. That's all.

Anyway, having said that, in THIS particular case, I don't see anything proving the kid isn't guilty. If that gun his mom threw in the river matches, lock him up and toss the key. Even if it turns out the mother was involved he's still an accomplice to this **** :smh: .

Nothing is going to happen to him. He is at home being in prison with the rest of the heartless monsters. They might give him a purple heart
I doubt that.

I'm pretty sure their going to turn his rectum into the Lincoln tunnel if they don't but him in protective custody.

The real monsters thrive off of brutalizing punks like this.

This is why medieval tortures should exist. Dudes don't respect the law because they dont fear jail. Dudes ain't really phased by 15 years, but if he knew "the pear of anguish" was waiting on him (google it) if he got caught, he'd think twice before commiting a crime.

From the USA Today article:

Kevin Gough, a public defender who is Elkins' lead attorney, has strongly suggested in pretrial motions that the real killers are the child's own parents.

"Other evidence of record suggests Sherry West is mentally unstable, gave several inconsistent accounts of how the crime transpired, and had a financial interest in the death of her son in the form of an insurance policy," Gough said in a court motion filed Aug. 5.

Defense attorneys have said in court filings they have audio recordings and documents showing the child's mother had dealings with Gerber Life Insurance Co. According to its website, Gerber Life sells life insurance policies for children starting as early as infancy. Coverage runs from $5,000 to $50,000.

Ashley Glassey, West's 21-year-old daughter, told television station WTLV of Jacksonville, soon after the shooting that her mother called her after Antonio was killed and asked, "How soon do you think the life insurance policy will send me a check?"

:wow: :wow: :wow:

Yeah, I been heard that she was the one who actually shot the baby. Honestly, she sounded crazy from the start and her story wasn't that sound to me.
- she wouldn't give over anything she had to save her baby? or protect his life and block him?
- her baby is shot dead center, and she gets a light-grazing, despite being a 100x bigger target
- her erratic behavior

But a young black man's life is on the line, so she'll probably walk away free and with her insurance money :smh:

When I was locked up, I was amazed at how many dudes were comfortable. Dudes literally get comfortable with being in jail. They use jail as a tool to get way from their families and lot of other things.
