Disappointing... again...

Days Before Rodeo was my favorite rap project in a long time. Loved it. Then underwhelmed by Rodeo and again by this...

I like the production on The Ends, Coordinate, Guidance. Through the late night has a nice hook. Drums on Outside are sharp. But this whole thing is just so unstructured, feels thrown together. And what is Travis ever singing about? He's got almost nothing of substance lyrically. That's probably my biggest criticism of his last two projects.

He can set a cool, dark rap mood... but he did almost zero actual production on this, according to the credits... so he just sings autotuned lyrics about pills and girls... cool. There are more than a few times where this album gets too many layers and turns into an auto-tuned, overwhelming mess. There are some cool moments, but man do I miss tracks like Mamacita, Drugs You Should Try It, Don't Play, Skyfall, Basement Freestyle, Upper Echelon, Uptown, etc.

I just don't think Travis is that good of a musician. I was driving for a few hours today on the highway and played this album (third listen for me) followed by Blonde. The difference in musical quality was astounding.

The album is borderline flawless.

lol what

This is his worst album to me after a few listens . Days before >>>>> rodeo>>> singing birds.

I'm not a huge fan of the super melodic sound from him . There's not one certified banger on here

Maybe mind will change after a few listens

You're on bath salts, b

He kind of sounds like he's talking to Rihanna on almost every song. Not a criticism because I love this album, but he sounds a bit...bothered.

This is album is damn near flawless. Playing this ish while driving through the A with my boys. Ish was beautiful.

Only 5 songs in and I already like this more than his last 2 projects. :pimp:

He's back to his more calm sound. He was tryna sound like Future for a minute.

Frank is 10x the musician Travis is. And no, you could not say the same thing I said about Birds, as Blonde is not an auto-tuned, ambiguous mess.

Liked Rodeo this sounds like a Rodeo Lite which is not a bad thing.

Cudi hate u mighit have to relapse again but u and la flame can make an epic album!!!! 8)

Lol rodeo had to much copying to be better than this. At least this album sounds like "him"

Rodeo sounded like him trying to be 1000 different artist

DBR still the goat though
