Back to 2.5.....shut puig down through the break. Hopefully craw can stay on the damb field. We need milw to beat az at least once this weekend and for us to retake control of this series with zach and nolasco. But chatwood and chacin can be tough.

We may be lookin at alot of skip for the weekend.

Glad the dbagz lost today.

Only silver lining with our key guys limping into the break. Hope puig can regain the pre coors crash play and for matt to actually return on time..with NO setbacks. Another tough stretch starting fri....lets get some rest...and maybe even make a move b4 the deadline. ..and finish strong.

The end of July will be a true indicator of where this team is at. East coast trip (Was, Tor), followed by a tough homestand (Cin, NYY). Sink or swim, guys need to get healthy.

Cincinnati has been beatable this season, NYY too especially. And at home I like your chances given that the pitching comes out of the gate strong. I haven't been keeping up with your guys' games recently so I don't know how well pitching+bullpen have done beyond quickly scanning box scores.

League in the doghouse = successful pen

Thoughts on any remaining moves before the deadline?

I'm glad Bochy didn't choose CK, but his reason was absolute horse ****. Hopefully kid K uses it and runs with the second half :smokin

I hope Kershaw and Puig stick it to Bochy...

As far as moves go, I hope they stay away from Garza, just don't see the benefit of going after him. He's a solid #3, but Theo's asking price is for an "Ace", so I hope they stay away... far far away.

I would like a corner infielder. The Phillies are not sellers, but getting Utley would be awesome. Aramis Ramirez is rumored to be available, Michael Young could be an improvement. They truly need to dump one of the four headed monster of Ellis, Hairston, Punto and Schumaker. I like all four, but they are ALL the same player. Great gloves, decent contact, no pop. From those four, only Ellis should be safe. One of the other three, or maybe even two out of the three need to get moved.

The only good thing about those 4 is when the others are off one of them is on and saving them somehow so it hasn't been all bad but they definitely could use an upgrade and Utley would not be bad even though Ellis is having a good year.

keep schumaker, he can play the OF, and give us some garbage innings on the mound too

I know you're joking, but no,

Hairston can play the OF too, and when healthy we already have a fourth OF'er (Ethier), and when they are not healthy wouldn't you rather have SVS off the bench, he can at least hit for some pop.

Ellis/Punto = Same player, with Ellis being the better of the two.
Schumaker/Hairston = Same player, roll the dice on who is better.

I like them, and they bring other things to the table off the field, but on the field it sucks to have four of the same players cluttering your bench.

^half joking, I know we don't need anymore spare outfielders. But between those options, Hairston would get the boot first he hasn't looked good at the plate at all

This Nats/Dodgers series has some awesome pitching matchups. Strasburg vs. Nolasco, Greinke vs. Gonzalez, and Kershaw vs. Zimmermann.

Oh yeah, Harper vs. Puig as well. Best of luck to ya'll. I know we're gonna need it Sat/Sun
