I'm a Bill Simmons groupie so you're on your own on that one. Been following him since his AOL days and got both his books signed. 

 He's got a massive and loyal fanbase but I can see why some people hate him. Comes off whiny on TV sometimes but at least he speaks his mind. He's just a sports fanatic like the rest of us on various message boards. He just has a national platform.

As a volunteer,

1st place is nice, way too early. Starting pitching has been carrying us so far but the bats are very inconsistent and most of the guys we expect to produce have not been producing: Gonzales, Ramirez.

It helps that we have two aces in Kershaw and Greinke and two guys that are pitching like aces in Beckett and Ryu. Bullpen still sucks though, . Outside of JP Howell, no bueno.
