On to cincy. And we got CAP going in that bandbox. The only solace is that choo, Bruce and votto are left handed...for what its worth(nothing,I know).
 
I guess playing for something at this point makes catching Atlanta a goal, however, there isn't really any benefit to Home Field Advantage.

Best road record in MLB, FWIW.

my ONLY CONCERNS are as follows.
get there.
some momentum.
Full lineup.
rotation lined up.
 
Safe to say, Kemp is probably done for the year. It's a lost season for him, he's a team guy but I'm sure it's killing him that he is not a part of whats going on right now. If anything, may be able to salvage a post season roster spot but at this point, don't think it's a slam dunk.
 
Ya can't have a roster spot for a guy who no one knows how he'll perform once he's back, especially after this long of a lay off. If his lay off wasn't so long I wouldn't have an issue saving that spot for him because you never know he could pull a Frankie Rodriguez and be that X factor in the playoffs and lead them to the WS but being out so long :\ it just doesn't give any confidence.

I definitely wouldn't put him on the playoff roster for the NLDS and I was already leaning that way prior to hearing he was being shut down

Its so sad...the 2 gms in colorado he hit 2 hrs and went to frisco and hurt his shoulder on a swing. Then came back for 1 gm in wash and hit a HR, a double and a single then slid into home...

heres the thing. Against say...a jeff locke..an alex wood...a mike minor....u get the pnt...kemp can be so useful in dre or craws place...still dreaming of a puig,hanram,kemp 2,3,4.

Gassed... no other way to put it. They're stocking up on bullpen arms, but I think some of these guys are done for the season. This is Paco's second year in the bigs, didn't spend much time in the minor leagues. He's already at 68 games.

During this stretch, the bullpen has been magnificent, however I do worry that Howell and Rodriguez may be tired.
 
^^pretty much...donnie has been HEAVILY reliant on the same arms all season. Its all hindsight. Brilliant when It works....a bafoon if it doesnt. if im a betting man..and I am...I bet kershaw stops the bleeding tomorrow. Power lefty vs power lefties. I'd have to imagine a short pen.
 
No longer worth chasing Atlanta. No sense in possibly catching them but going in tired. Play the guys who got called up and maintain a comfortable lead in the division
 
You have to maintain a semblance of what you had during the run. You have to go in with some momentum.
 
Ya Paco is gassed. Hopefully he can get some time off and get back in the groove towards the end of the month. He only had 21 games in the minors before he got called up last year :wow: that's not a lot of time to adjust to pitching heavy duty innings in back to back years.
 
Bullpen was not as steady as we're used to and the clutch hitting wasn't totally there. It's ok they can get back on track tomorrow.
