Braves didn't win this game, the Dodgers simply gave it away. Greinke didn't have his best stuff, but he wasn't that bad either. The offense seemed absent when it mattered the most. Hopefully Ryu can shake it off and pitch game 3 at the Ravine.
 
Instead of trying to blast a home run to Canada, I don't understand why Puig simply doesn't try to just get on base. He has the ability to wreck havoc on the bases.
 
Needed a win in Atlanta. So all we have to do is close it out at home.
 
Dambit....im not gonna question donnie's bullpen management. But id have to question not bringing in jp/paco to start the inning vs mccann as opposed to young withrow...I wont criticize walking reed johnson to get to heyward who is not as effective vs lefties..cuz if reed johnson hits. ..the casusl fan says "first base was open. ..put him on to face heyward who cant hit lefties"...whatevs...all hindsight.

bottom line....gotta push across runs when u have the chance.

gotta sweep in LA vs teheren and garcia.

I dont want a gm 5...even if its kershaw vs medlen.....

I hope ethier starts on sun.............sigh.
 
The bottom line is this game should have been won. Atlanta had the luck and the calls go their way. Every damn Atlanta double play made my blood pressure go up.

On a bright side, Hanley is playing excellent. Hopefully he can continue this hot streak.

Heyward is .264 vs. lefties and .250 vs. righties.

Plus, Johnson isn't really considered a professional hit man, is he? And he was coming in cold.

Put all of that together, and I take my chances with him.

Edit: Not trying to start anything with you man. I'm just frustrated

alot of dodger talk calls were questioning that inning..personally...I dont mind either call cuz if it works..donnie looks like a genius, and if not...a bafoon...

to answer ur question...reed johnson is an ex dodger and a journeyman....heywards splits arent all that tale telling. 1st base open.......

reed johnson isn't that much of a threat...but paco has been money vs lefties all yr...forget jay heys splits. Id prob lean towards the
 
Intentional walk only cuz 1st was open I trust paco in that spot.

If he went after johnson and he bloops one over mark ellis' head...I guarantee the fire donnie chants begin...I wouldnt be upset either way...its strictly hindsight.
 
Check that...first phone fall was complaining about donnies BP management...second call was about not bunting. When u bunt..they complain about burning outs....more hindsight.lmao.

Haha I get what you're saying. I think I still roll the dice with Johnson.

And at certain moments I was calling for a bunt (in both games). Can't remember who was up, might have been Schumaker, and I felt he should've laid one down.

Could be worse, they took game 1. Onto games 3 and 4.

tough loss yesterday but now braves at our house they could not even sell out game one lets see how they react to a 55000 crowd rooting for the boys in blue.
 
We havent seen teheran, yet...so either he turns in a gem or gets roughed up because hes never seen US plus the stage. Ryu on 6.7.13 vs atl at Dodger stadium went 7.2 Inn, 1er, 6k vs virtually the same lineup but with uggla instead of elliot johnson and gattis catching instead of mccann(upton in left). In think we have the edge on sunday....if dre starts in center, u can go back to your 42-8 lineup(puig back to 2 hole)...id feel confident if thats the case.
 
The bats weren't that bad last night, what killed us was double plays and leaving dudes on the bags. Hope Ryu brings it home tomorrow. Game 3 is often telling. LET'S GO BLUE!
 
Cant wait for tommorow to see ryu throw some hadukens at the braves lineup. We gotta stop hitting into dp and bring in those runs. Go Dodgers!!!!!
