Division winner always has home field over the wild card in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs regardless if the wild card winner has a better record then the division winner.

Not worth the risk imo. You lose tomorrow with him on short rest and that game 5 in Atlanta gets alot more difficult.

If the dodgers lose tomorrow I'm very confident Kershaw will have a big game in a big game situation on full rest. If he has to pitch a potential game 5 he wouldn't be ready to pitch again til a potential game 3 of the NLCS.

If he pitches game 4 tomorrow he won't be available on full rest again til game 2 of the NLCS if they get there.

Ideal situation Nolasco gives 6 solid innings and the bats put some runs up and Kershaw is good to go for a potential game 1 of the NLCS.

Starting him tomorrow for game 4 on short rest just isn't worth the risk to me though.

Ya it's not the W.S so no need to short days with him. Get some solid innings from Ricky and let the bullpen work as usual and they should be fine.

Aside from that Atlanta is probably the least intimidating place to win a crucial win or go home playoff game in aside from maybe the marlins stadium if they were in. They don't even sell out playoff games. If it was the old Yankee stadium, Fenway or somewhere like that were home field made a huge difference that's a different story but hopefully they take care of business tomorrow so it doesn't even get to that. I would love to see Kershaw being able to go game 1 in the NLCS if they win and be able to set the rotation to their preferences.
