All good.  You were kind of right in a sense though.  Contracts are fully guaranteed.  If a team wants to buy a player out of his contract, they just have to make it worth while to do so.  I remember in 2011, the Giants were thinking about trying to buy out Barry Zito's contract (thank God we didnt), but it never happened.  Not sure why it didnt, but I have to imagine its because Zito said "no freakin chance I am going to pass on all the guaranteed money that I am owed."

You should read up on Bobby Bonilla's buyout from the Mets if you dont already know that story.  One of the most brilliant, under the radar,  moves a player/agent has ever done.

Solid outing by Ryu, kind of liking listening to Scully on the radio.

Jansen didn't blow the save, but did allow another run, there's clearly something going on. The good thing is that he's ironing out the wrinkles in April.

Puig and his outfield adventures, got to take the good with the bad.

Gordon has been a nice suprise, this years Nick Punto at this juncture.

^^he is what he is...a la gary bennett, brent mayne, mike lieberthal, david ross, paul bako, brad ausmus(as a dodger), etc..its just we were so caught up in ellis' story/.260 average/OB% that the fedex/butera combo makes him look like 97 Piazza.

Anyways...glad to get ONE. And wouldnt ya know, fedex slapped one to center to drive in a run.

One thing, besides the increased velocity, ive noticed KJ has been mixing in the 4 seamer more.....cutter with an occasional slider needs to be the bread and butter.
