question regarding Jansen.
why is mattingly using him this much so far. dudes on pace for over 100 innings, cant let him hit a wall if we head into the postseason
donny has to use perez/ wilson ( once he gets his ish together) in these 1-1 games and not jansen

You guys are really shocked about bullpen overuse. Donnie is a Joe Torre disciple.
Let's look at the horses that Torre/Donnie put out to pasture due to overuse since 2008...

Ramon Troncoso
Hung-Chih Kuo (His arm was already falling apart, but still)
Paco Rodriguez
JP Howell
Kenley Jansen
Now, it's too early to throw Howell and Jansen in that mix, but they are being used a ton already and they are not doing well. Dodgers are carrying 13 pitchers, Donnie goes to the same horses all the time.
In other news, had no clue that Joe Beimel is working out of the Mariners bullpen now and actually doing really well after being out of the league since 2011.

Im not blaming the pen today......2 runs aint gonna get it done. Kemp, hanram, craw, dre all hovering around the mendoza line...sample size is increasing. Im not gonna use the platooning in the OF as an excuse, either. Even when kersh comes back, its gonna take a few starts. Gotta get the bats going and get kersh back.......

When a pitchers velo is gone(in particular a power pitcher), hes shot unless re reinvents himself late..and his velo is the same as last season. Its gotta be mechanical/mental or lingering effects from an injury.
I don't boo players unless theyre doggin it, are cancers, appear like they don't care, get paid phat and then suck without caring..etc

If he keeps it up, I think it's going to make for an interesting situation with Guerrero. Hanley is on his way to 3rd, but I've heard the Dodgers intend on keeping Guerrero at 2nd. I can kind of understand that since there's Seager and Arruebarrena. We could end up with a logjam in the middle infield.
