Baez still

That was honestly more demoralizing than the Kershaw meltdown

Baez walk should've been a k tho.

Cardinals stole signs, our bats showed up. Im still optimistic about this series. take the 9th. N if not take gm 2

Ump been wack, but you gotta play...nevermind. take this 9th

They fought back so that's a positive. It's up to them if they want to go home early or not.

I dont understand all this talk aboutipping his pitches. If the Cardinals were waiting back on sharp breaking balls and hitting them over the fence, that would be one thing. But they were simply hitting fastballs that were location mistakes. 0-2 and 1-2 belt high fastballs are simply just mistakes....and Kershaw did that with regularity during the big inning.

How Kershaw got hit tonight does not scream tipping pitches.

This **** is over, brehs. If 22 craps himself before our bullpen does then you know it's over. Hell, 22 literally dropped 2 deuces in that 7th inning and the bullpen still came in to smear it all over the wall.

I think our bullpen will be better next season though; no more closers doing middle relief. Sign James Shields and dust off Russell Martin's old locker. It just wasn't going to happen this season with the bullpen and back end rotation woes. We will get that WS trophy before an NFL team comes to L.A.

But they're talking about hitting pitches from the stretch. The way they were hitting him, they had to have been relaying signs from second base and/or he's tipping his pitches.

I don't think it's a coincidence he's gotten rocked by them 2 years in a row in the playoffs, when he's practically been unhittable within that stretch by everybody else.

The most subtle arm/body/hand movement or placement can easily tell what pitch is coming. These guys are professionals, they see it day in and day out, along with all the video they likely study of the pitchers they're gonna be facing.

Credit to the Cards hitters, I just find it hard to believe they hit him so hard that inning, considering its Kershaw. Or maybe I'm in denial

Whatever the Cards are doing it's working.

The one good thing about this is that I don't think Colletti survives this. Been saying it all year. Don't think this team has it since the bullpen is so shaky. Even with a shaky bullpen, Donny brings in Baez? Really? Baez! :smh:

You need a solid bullpen and right now this team lacks one. Even with Kershaw pitching a turd, game wasn't out of reach and they came back, however the extra cushion they got didn't help.

I think we take game 2, but it will be hard as **** to win game 3 with Ryu coming off injury and game 4 with kershaw in short rest. Don't even want to talk about Haren as an option.

Is the series over, nope, but man... This blows.

When a team is stealing signs or a pitcher is tipping pitches, you can tell by the at bats. Batters would lay off the offspeed and/or sit back and drive them. That didn't happen tonight. Go back and watch the inning (if you can stomach it). Kershaw was getting routinely going 0-2 or 1-2 on hitters, and then leaving his fastball over the middle of the plate. Its not as if the Cardinals were raking all of his pitches. They were inly hitting his fastball. And not only were they hitting his fastball, they were ,ostly mistakes in location.

I dont buy for one second that pitches were being tipped or signs were being stolen. The proof is in the at bats.

Let's be real here, this loss was devastating. Now Greinke will take the mound in a must win game and all that pressure will be too much.

Was at the game. Still sick to my stomach.

First playoff game and the vibe was amazing. ****, a couple got engaged 2 rows ahead of me when we were up 6-1  good times were being had.

And then that inning happened :x :smh:

Wish we could have rallied back. I was so sure puig was going to make his mark and hit the walk off HR. :smh:

It wasnt baez fault. Kershaw was in cruise control; should have won. But i feel optimistic, espec kuz we came alive late. The bats were there n other than that missed strike, the bp came through. We're still in good shape n i'm not worried.

Go Dodgers Go!

This game goes all in on Mattingly, you ******* bafoon.

I cant believe it, truly a mismanaged game.

Kershaw and the post season

LOL. Perfect metaphor for marriage.

Went to bed stunned and disgusted. Woke up today....it's a new day..gotta shake it off..As dodger fans, this kind of heartbreak is nothing we haven't seen or felt b4. Neidenfuer. Brian johnson. Kent/drew gunned down. Broxton. Matt stairs.wacha. We've seen it all......

Gotta get this one tonight. Just gotta. How does a team recover from this....=/

Poor Grankz. Signed up to be the #2 guy and now the whole season is riding on him.

His breakfast probably looked something like this:
