That's my guy, flashy Friedman. Root for him as much as Jon Daniels.

Puig for Stanton is a pipe dream, unless you incude Pederson, Lee and possibly Seager.

Puig is very raw, Stanton is already polished. They're both exciting in their very own right, Stanton is already a face of the franchise type player. Puig can get there, but he's not there yet.

I'm sure you can move Crawford, he has value, his problem is staying healthy. He misses two months out of the year, on average. I don't get the rush to hand over the job to Pederson, would love to have him coming off the bench and replacing Crawford when he's injured. He needs to earn it.

Ethier needs to be moved, bought out (aka released/DFA'd). There's no room for him and his bloated contract. I wish he brought something to the table, but he doesn't carry a glove worth talking about and he has the same platoon splits as Carl Crawford.

Starting OF next year should be Crawford (LF), Puig (CF) and Kemp (RF). That is a solid OF any way you slice it. Top it off by having Pederson and Van Slyke coming off the bench. I'm not the biggest fan of Crawford, but he earned his spot with solid, timely hitting in September.

Catcher and Shortstop need to be addressed. We don't have quality players at those positions, at least defensively at SS and both offensively and defensively at C. Yes, Ellis has a good rapport with the pitching staff, but he ain't cutting it. Russel Martin is available, bring him back.

Bullpen needs to be addressed and a 4th starter that is consistent. Haren will be a 5th starter unless he declines his player option... doubtful.
Respectfully, that's a ripoff for Stanton. Two of your top-3 prospects, with Puig?! Puig doesn't have Stanton's raw power or plate approach, but he's better, rangier defensively. I don't like that package one bit for the Dodgers, that's how you deplete your farm system in one swift move.

Cards are bending over now. I can't believe this garbage.

Half the Giants squad wouldn't even make our playoff roster, and yet....

Keep Puig hes the future.

Bull pen needs alot of help keep kershaw, greinke and ryu besides that clean up house

Puig can be amazing at times but I wouldn't totally disagree with moving him if the right deal comes along (very few scenarios at this point).

I wonder what a young competent hotshot GM would do...

Joe Maddon has one more year on #Rays contract and lives in LA. Don Mattingly's 2015 could be as tenuous as his 2013.

:D Don is going to be stressing harder than Puig

Colletti still around though :smh: he's done enough damage

No more damage, no more decisions, no more baseball operations, basically a demotion. :smokin

Very curious as to what Friedman will do with this type of payroll and all the dead weight hanging off of it.

Think the Dodgers have 16-18 players under contract for 2015 at $189 already, :smh:

Sooo pumped

Me too. This is a turn in the right direction. Analytics is the way to go these days. Ned was set in his old ways and had no grand plan. Was given a blank check and just throwing **** at the wall and hoping it sticks.

It'll probably a blessing in disguise we lost to the Cards when it's all said and done.

It's going to be a hot winter fellas... Like I mentioned a couple of days ago, I trust ownership and their commitment to winning.

I just hope they let Friedman do his thing, fan pressure is overrated; so as long as the ownership group supports him I don't see how he won't be successful in LA.

Moneyball with money will be interesting...

Will be interesting to see if he cleans house in the next two-three years. Honestly the only Dodgers I would deem untouchable are Clayton Kershaw and Zach Greinke (Player option after 2015).
