Thanks for the memories Papi. Still can't believe they didn't put Kimbrel in.

Forgot the DJ accidentally played "I love LA" too

So it is stults. Strictly a depth move/possible DFA candidate and clearing room for guererro/turner/olivera. If fact I can see callaspo being DFAd, too. So stults had a 6+ERA his last 8 starts, huh....

This front office isn't playing...

We don't need you... peace.

Love it...

No offense, Uribe was serviceable the past two years and had some clutch moments, however he isn't needed in 2015. Was already reverting to the Uribe of 2011-2012.

Ya'll are fickle,

Sometimes I feel like you guys don't want a winning team.

Supposedly, Callaspo's gonna be number 5. Cold as ice.

Meh, unless you are a legend on the team that traded you, no need to put your number away.

Uribe got the number right after Garciaparra left.

Uribe didn't do enough to justify them holding his number.

just curious as to how this trade helps the dodgers? (no condescension meant, just trying to understand the trade)

from what i'm reading, callaspo is slightly better at getting on base than uribe and costs less, but ultimately wont get the PT with guerrero, JT, and olivera coming later this season.

not too sure about the pitchers we got, but saw one was DFA right away and the reports im reading says others aren't that great either.

its tough to see a fan favorite, and an all around well liked guy in the club house, get traded away especially if its not apparent were getting anything worth while in return.

Definitely not saying he's a legend or that they needed to put his number away. Didn't even give it time to marinate, but that's the biz lol

I beg to differ.
1) NOTHING is as bad as Goribe was in 2011(a.jones notwithstanding)
2) he was playing/hitting at a utility guy level (so far) this yr with still close to elite level 3rd base defense.
3) had a boatload of big hits during 2 playoff runs in 13/14.
4) well respected/well liked in the organization and clubhouse.
5) back to defense-played GG caliber defense EVERY yr he was here...only arenado is better and even that's debatable.

Anyways...so atl activated Chris Johnson...
But Goribe is starting tonight. Lol.

Put it away for what?

Haha 6 for 6 today, with his average up to .342 in triple A... I say Seager has adjusted and will most definitely make his way up in September.

Something's gotta give. As of right now its looking like the same story might happen if this team reaches the postseason :smh: frustrating.
