2013 New York Mets Season Thread

nice first series win, came close.

need to win the series vs the Marlins at home.

I'll take it. The Padres suck but my expectations are low, Gee still pitched well and it's a series win. Kinda curious what happens with the 5th starter situation. Wheeler isn't getting called up for at least 20 days with the arbitration rules, otherwise it could be mid-June.

Not that he's reliable but Chris Young re-signed with the Nats...because their rotation is in shambles.

Justin Turner is trolling with that "call me maybe" walk up.

Ike off to a slow start outside of that homerun last night.

He has to be, no dude uses that song as their ab song. I coulda swore he used it last year as well

Bryd with the walk off hit. Back to back series win. Not a bad way to start off 2013 season

We suck but Terry is a great coach and has the guys playing hard and making the best of what we have.

Harvey vs. Halladay tomorrow :pimp:

Missed the walkoff due to heading out for WrestleMania, but glad to see we pulled out the W today.

Harvey on the hill tomorrow :smokin

Harvey is the real deal. It's about time that we got a great young pitcher

5-2 baby!
:pimp:

I'm emotionally invested again. I hate how this team sets me up in April makes me love em in May , and want to kill them in August.

Harvey thanks Minaya for that parting gift

Look at todays Mets roster and look at the 2008 one. Does anyone else notice the huge difference in Spanish players?

Sure, but I don't think that was exactly a conscious decision or anything.

I notice the lack of talent more so...

Hefner tonight :x

Hadn't thought about it, don't care about player's race/nationality but now that you mention it, it's true. Going to games then was like being at a reggaeton concert interrupted by plate appearances.

So we have two really good starting pitchers. Gee can turn it around but he was awful on Tuesday. Wheeler's struggled in his first two AAA starts, had an...MRI...on a blister on his finger after the last one. Probably really affected him but that's crazy.

Murph getting doubled off 2nd was horrible, could've changed the game. Buck is a beast and Duda ******g launched his 1st HR. Crushed.

I don't see them moving Buck since he will resort to backup C, might as well enjoy the ride and try to get these W's along the way,

Wright was a HR away from a cycle, didn't get a pitch to hit :smh:

Sandy is more than likely going to move him when they call up d'Arnaud to help pick up more chips and have Recker as the back up C(which he is now). You can guarantee it if he stays this hot and I wished Wright would have gotten a pitch to hit a homer to complete the cycle too.

Unless the rumors are true and Sandy is looking to trade d'Arnaud and Wheeler for Stanton, Buck will not be traded for sure. I honestly don't see that happening.
