HANNIBAL NBC | S3, Ep13 "The Wrath of the Lamb" 8/29/15 10/9c

Amazing start to Season 2. Always cracks me up how Hannibal makes all these exotic dishes of human meat that his guests love so much

Human flesh all in the plate, they ain't even know it.

"He was a flounder..."

Why fridays though? Thats like tv hell.

Good start though. Agree on the visuals just amazing being it's on network tv. So im guessing that dude that woke up in the end is the witness that starts shifting the focus back on hannibal? Signs of sloppiness seeping through for the Doc?

I thought Scully was gonna kiss Will when she got that close

It's a bit ridiculous Will can still be 100% accurate about these serial killers in prison with all this other more important stuff like being framed on his mind.

Hopefully things get more interesting next week with the trial and the killer on the loose or copycat or Hannibal trying to save Will.

That was hands down the most gruesome opening to a show I've ever seen.

I don't know how this show is on NBC. The gore is on par with most horror films.

That opening scene :wow: :x :pimp:

Me too bruh. Great episode as usual. You can see the effort that was put into shooting/writing this show. I will cherish this show for life.
Miranda sure seems different than her Sex & the City days. Sounds different too.
I hope we get to see Gillian Anderson again, but thats looking doubtful with her bolting town.

NBC has this new CIA show that she's starring. I think she's gone for good so either she leaves town or Hannibal tracks her down, kills and eats her.

Ratings arent doing too good. Longshot if it gets picked up for a third. And most likely would get picked up by some other network or streaming service.

I use to think this way until I saw Grimm has had multiple seasons.

I don't know what the **** NBC is doing.

As ONeg has mentioned here or elsewhere, this show may be a victim of stupid ppl not knowing a good thing is on tv while it's still airing.

Will with the ultimate troll job at the beginning of the episode.

Made Hannibal think he accepted his fate, and wanted him to be his therapist again.

Then he went back to his cell and was like:

Hannibal obsession with will is going to be his downfall.

Du Maurier booked it with the quickness.

Probably won't see her again, unless she's in Hannibal's kitchen.

Was hopin' Scully was gonna say "I want to believe"... sure, would have completely changed the plot, but anyway...

I wonder how much Scully really knows about Hannibal.  She knows he's dangerous, but to what extent?  And now that she's disassociated herself with Hannibal, will Hannibal go after her?  I think he genuinely likes her and has too much respect for her, so probably no.

Damn, that opening sequence was

Mmmm... Ossobuco... Delish...

Damn, that opening sequence was :x
Every week. That bodyripping. :x And my dude thought he was free. One jump to safety! :smh:

All these years and Agent Scully could still...

Hannibal obsession with will is going to be his downfall.
Most definitely.

Episode by episode this show is filling that void Dexter left when it ended season 5.

Hannibal's plastic suit >>> Dexter's plastic sheets and knife bag.

I mean, watching him butcher...son. Son. :x :smh: Only this show.

"Hello. I love your work." .........dontgetcancelled.

I don't think he was jumping to freedom. He was jumping to his death and would rather have died than end up back where he was.

Finally watched the show. Did Hannibal smell the body or see the corn stalks affect on the body.

I would have liked to have heard the conversation between Hannibal and the killer. I love your work.

He just had to take the leg.

Figures, once they put you on a Friday night at 10pm they're walking you to the chair. I was hoping another show would get canceled and it would take it's slot earlier in the week.

That was hands down the most gruesome opening to a show I've ever seen.

:smh:

Nah I think it was both but he definitely thought he was trying to escape. He hesitated before he jumped cuz he really wanted to get out but knew he could die so he was like **** it anyway. Dying on your own terms is better than that.

I think the implication was that he was able to smell the corn stalks from the body.

Also, when he bumped into Katz (the Korean girl) during the autopsy, that might have been when he deducted that she had visited Will?  Again, via smell...

I've been watching this show since I first heard Mad Mikkelsen was cast as the title character.

I just have to say this show is one of the best shows out there now. I'm as confused as anyone else as to why NBC has this on its roster, but I'm not complaining.

With the ratings, it seems inevitable that they're gonna get axed... let's face it, big networks only look at those numbers.  I just hope HBO or AMC or Netflix picks it up.  Given the feel of the show (as well as the gore), it never felt like an NBC/mainstream-network show.

^ "Hello, I love your work."

And that river fishing with the bodies was such a cool shot. :smokin

Some things might keep it on... Some NBC shows...like every single thing they put on on Thursdays...aren't doing much better. It's getting a lot of critical acclaim. And NBC actually splits the cost of making the show with a bunch of foreign channels, which is rare and makes it one of the cheapest shows that NBC puts out. You put the fact that critics are actually finding reasons to stop clowning NBC with it being on Fridays at 10pm, literally the worst time of the week...

I mean the 2nd worst spot's gotta be trying to put a comedy on at the same time as Big Bang Theory. :nerd:

And Community actually gets the same ratings as Hannibal. :smh:

^ Oh that's right... I had forgotten about that. AXN covers most of the production costs, I think?  But yeah, that would actually be favorable towards the show.  Fingers crossed.
