How am I suppose to wait till next summer for season 2 bruhs?
Shows too damn good. Dunno if Ill make it.

They definitely should not wait that long for season 2.

Season 2 should air during October or November.

Had 9 episodes saved on the DVR that I didn't get to watch until the last couple of days. It was nice being able to watch 2 episodes at a pop. This show is a little heavy handed. The creators need to ease up a bit on the melodrama.

Mads Mikkelsen doesn't deserve an Emmy nomination, he deserves an Emmy. He nailed this role. Would almost say he might possibly be better than Anthony Hopkins but had to stop myself because Mads had the benefit of playing Hannibal over a season so he was able to flesh his performance out & show a ton of depth so to me Mads is un par with Hopkins.

Can't wait to see how season 2 unfolds. Saw the producers wanted to cast David Bowie as Hannibal's uncle. I wonder how they will play Jack Crawford's story line? Under his watch an agent in training was murdered & know his prized asset in Will Graham is charged for several serial murders. He's gotta catch a whole bunch of hell for that.

Am I correct in seeing Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Jillian Anderson) is in cohots with Hannibal? Does she knowingly eat Abby?

Anyone else think Caroline Dhavernas ( Dr. Alana Bloom) & Hettienne Park (Beverly Katz) are attractive? Anyway, looking forward to season 2...

I don't think she's killing people but as we saw she's protecting/covering for him. But I think that's because he saved her from that patient/attacker. Look at how he had Will,Abby and the doctor under the same type of influence. At the very least...she definitely knows something is up. She hinted at it..

Jack,Alana and Will spend a lot time with him and it took being framed for Will to finally see it...so it's possible she's blinded like the others by him being a colleague/friend. He's already much smarter plus they have their guard down.

The dinner scene with Lector & Dr. Du Maurier seemed to revealed a lot. Not sure if Lector's "pigs led to slaughter are younger than calves used for veal" story was meant to infer the meat they were eating was Abigail Hobbs. His description of good veal is nurtured with care and proper attention, essentially what Lecter was doing with Abigail.

It's possible that Abigail is alive despite the ear. Lector might've given her a way out letting the world assume she's dead. Remember in Hannibal the movie, Lector chopped off his hand to get away so it's plausible that Abigail may have chosen to live without an ear.

Also Dr. Du Maurier warns Lector about the authorities seeing his pattern of taking on patients with violent/murderous histories & the talk of half truths. She also gave him a look when they were talking about the pigs & veal just before she took a bite. I guess we'll get to see how some of this stuff unfolds next season.

BTW, in addition to CASH MONEY 1999's observation about uniform numbers, the creators also used the song Vide Cor Meum (See My Heart) at the end of the season finale when Lector walks to see Graham. This was the same song used in the Movie Hannibal.

Just Dr. Bloom for me, thanks.

Anyway, I had forgotten about this thread, but I'm back now!

In that last scene, as soon as Dr. Lecter entered that prison, I knew it was gonna be an homage to Silence of the Lambs... the music confirmed it. Fantastic touch there.

But didn't realize the numbers were the same too!

As for Scully... I think she knows parts of his secret.  He probably had to expose himself when he saved her from being attacked.  I'm not entirely sure she knew what she was eating, but judging by that dialogue... probably yes.

I didn't expect Will to find out about Dr. Lecter so soon though.

Can't wait. I feel like it's a show not many people gave a chance because it was on NBC.

I'm glad they pushed it as much as they could gory & blood wise.

^ I felt that many didn't give it a chance cuz of not only how gruesome it was, but also the different style it has compared to other major-network shows.

Fuller has plans for 7 seasons... I hope it happens.
