***Official Eminem Thread New Album Announced TBA***

Album is great. Period.

I think there's more people that hate em, just to hate em. Theres no song on here that I hate and I'm starting to like it more than Recovery which I thought was great.

MMLP >MMLP2=Recovery>Eminem Show>SSLP>Relapse>Encore

Are more people mad that he sells more records than (insert your favorite rapper)??
Damn you really have MMLP2 and Recovery over TES?!

funny thing is its the same in every one of these threads, from jay to kanye to em there are always people saying "how come ____ doesnt get any hate when _____ does" when in reality there are people that like the album and people that trash the album in every thread

I just think theres more that just don't like Em, because of nothing. Just cause they don't like him.

He can touch you with the grace of God and people would still be like "well it wasn't like God Himself touched you."

It's because he now makes music some people don't like. You put his last 2 albums above Eminem Show. I think Recovery sucked and this album is eh. It's not blind Em hate it's opinion

10 million people think the complete opposite of you however.

Like I said, I love Eminem show. I still play a lot of it OFTEN on my bar's jukebox. Recovery got more spins within the last few years however. I like sober Eminem. A lot.

I'm not a super huge fan of SSLP. Its good, not great. Never have been since it was released when I was sophomore in HS. My favorite track on that was My Fault. lol.

I mean, so what if 10 million people like it? I'm wrong because he sold a bunch of records? How many million people buy Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus' ****? I think Recovery was cheesy and I just don't like music that sounds like that, plain and simple. SSLP is my fave album by him. Just because you're convinced something sounds good or bad doesn't mean everyone that disagrees is wrong. He hasn't put out an album worth listening to more than once since TES and that's how I feel. I'm not going to lower my standards because of the current state of popular hip hop.

So one dude is saying Em gets a pass, the next is saying people don't like him. I swear when it comes to Kanye, Em, Jay and now Drake there is ZERO middle ground.
That's just crazy.

Thats what happens when youre huge doe.

I love Kanye, Jay and Em's latest efforts.

I can't get into ANYTHING Drake does. Nothing. It all sucks to me.

I think its age more than anything.

but you are wrong. 8)

Recovery is not better than The Eminem Show, maybe sales wise it is. but TES solidified Em as one of the greats, like The Blueprint did for Jay-Z. consider it as his magnum opus.

AGAIN, i LOVE eminem show. I just enjoy Em's flow and lyrics since he's been sober MORE than before. Thus/Then TO ME Recovery > Eminem Show.

But thats me. I also LOVE NIN but personally I enjoy Trent Reznors production MORE since he's been sober than when he was f'd up. Its just my taste.

You didn't like Rock Bottom, If I Had, 97 Bonnie & Clyde, Role Model.. I could keep going.

i might get flack for this but SSLP isn't even my favorite album from Em, i think TES is easily his best work right next to the original MMLP.

my favorite track is Space Bound. Doesn't get nearly as much recognition as I think it deserves.

Space bound is a great track, but people don't want the vulnerable/emotional Eminem. It's much better than that stupid Headlights song, it sounds like it's Fun! Featuring Eminem :x

Don't Front though!!!!!!!

Why couldn't the whole album be this dope.

This dude has been getting progressively worse and worse for 10 years but gets NONE of the criticism that a Jay or Nas gets..... it's crazy to me.

The scrutiny Em receives on these boards is 100X what Jay or Nas get. Plus Nas is still nice.

It's been years since I've listened to SSLP, so no flack needed. The singles are still top notch though. You're definitely right about TES. It is his best overall work, from beats, flow, content, and everything else you can add. Serious Em, battling Em, wacky Em in small doses (maybe like 2-3 songs), combined with the best beats he's produced for himself. Throw in a couple nice showcasing features, and you have a great album. Probably not a classic, but a case could be made for it.
