I can't see it. There would have to be some sort of case they would be required to testify in. They wouldn't leave in a rush like that without the money in their bank accounts and their immediate family would be notified as well. I was thinking more along the lines of some CIA or Military Intelligence type thing or some major drug involvement that is currently unknown.

In the days following the McStay’s disappearance, many media outlets called them a "typical Southern California family." Baker begs to differ by suggesting that:

• Family tension was high in various ways

• Summer was allegedly involved in a loan modification "scam"

• The possible "crime scene" at the house was compromised by family members.

• Summer was trying to purchase a homeopathic medication for anger management and her family said she "had issues"

• Summer had a bank account in North Carolina (perhaps $80-100K that her husband may not have been aware of)

• Summer was not happy with her life, age, heritage and appearance

• Money was transferred out of Joseph McStay’s account by at least two people following his disappearance

• McStay extended family members "looted" the home

• Law enforcement might be "biding their time" by not revealing everything they know

When asked what he thinks transpired, Baker simply said, "I do believe Joseph [McStay] is dead. I hope I’m wrong. Based on my research, it appeared Joseph worked very hard for his money; he wouldn’t leave it behind. Summer had no access to those accounts.

Anyone else think of breaking bad? all that money in their bank accounts were from their booming business but it really was just a front and gustavo is about to kill them so walt took his family and his drug money to "disappear" and now he in mexico and walt jr chillen with some breakfast finally

I think now, rather than they fled in some convoluted escape plan, that they instead had to meet someone quickly, and that someone brought them to a bad end near the Bonsall cell tower. The pings on the phones were within 1 1/2 miles from the tower.

Somehow it was made apparent that both SM and JM had to be at this meeting, thus they brought the boys.

They must've been freaked to go to this meeting because I'm thinking of two things: eggs left out and soiled diaper left out. A mom would've taken care of those things, even in a rush out the door. I know, I'm a mom, I know that moms can put away eggs, throw the diaper away, put hats on kids, grab a purse and get the family in a car in a matter of seconds. Unless...

...they were under immense duress as they left.

Does anyone know if the car was speeding out of the driveway?

Also, regarding the supposed border crossing video of the family leaving the US I think it's extremely odd that if they have one or two boys in diapers (or pullups) that they don't have a diaper bag with them. A mom would take a diaper bag.

DK if he is the same person on the cheaters site, then he needs to be looked at carefully, as do all people who contacted them prior to their disappearance.

Oh, and SM's cell phone lasted longer because they mentioned on the ID channels' show Disappeared that she had put a fresh battery in her phone that afternoon. I remembered that fact because I was curious as to how they knew that, and why she kept a second battery. I don't even know how to take my batter out of my phone, I just plug it in--even 2 yrs ago!

I think I'm going to have to watch the two episodes again the ID and the E! one.

There are so many possibilities, but that cell tower thing is the most glaring fact.

I google mapped it, and it would take them about 15 minutes (give or take) to drive from their house on Avocado Vista Lane to near the Bonsall Tower. "

Dude I'm not peeping that Demon ****. I really like demonic/possession horror movies because they get me soooooooooooooo on edge but I know they're not real. I can't deal with that **** when that same certainty isn't there.
