Yeah, there are a lot of discrepancies, but who killed him, and why would the police cover it up?

agreed but that is why the sheriff did the autopsy and not the coroner who is the expert. That's where things get fishy and a lot of questions get raised. Also in the county jail they said people committed suicide yet inmates believe the jail is covering it all up. From 1997 until now their have been 30 deaths in that county jail not including suicides. That's a huge number and whether those deaths are race related or not that raises a lot of questions about the sheriff being corrupt in that town.

That's the big mystery that his family and friends want to know to get some type of closure. All they want is answers. It's been almost 90 days now and all they got is the sheriff saying he died from getting stuck upside down even though there is evidence that says otherwise.

He was beaten and rolled up in the mat.
His appearance is from both the beating and him being upside down for hours.
More than one person did it and eventually someone will talk or evidence will be found.
Anyone here ever roll up a wrestling mat? I've rolled up plenty and not a single one had a hole big enough for a HSer to squeeze into.
The one thing that confuses me is the lack of blood. If he was beat to death, blood would be everywhere...

they could have killed him somewhere else and then put his body in there. He had lacerations and bruises on him but then that would also mean it would have to of been a planned murder with others helping. Maybe that's why the police did their investigation improperly on purpose.
Then the question comes up as to why did people want him murdered in the first place. Did he have sex with a girl and her family didn't approve? Was he targeted because he was black and if so why him out of the rest of the African Americans in the school?
The only thing we can say that are facts so far is that he was murdered and the sheriff is trying to cover it up for some reason. The rest remains a mystery.

Odds are he was killed by people in the same age range and it was in the wrestling gym.
The thought of adults tracking him down, killing him, and then putting him in a public place is just ludicrous.
If someone is planning to kill him and their plans involve doing it at school, they are obviously young and naive.
"Let's get him in the wrestling gym, kill him, and just roll him up in a mat. It's genius!"
Ridiculous.
I also think its ridiculous to think he was killed somewhere else and they carried his body around in a public place to hide it where it's going to be found within a small amount of time.
Do people realize that most cops only make 35-50K? Most of them aren't the smartest people. If they have no idea what happened and the victim is of no importance to them, of course they're just going to save time and try to not look like some bumbling idiots who can't solve a crime by saying its an accident.
Saying they were in on the kill and covering up for someone is a HUGE reach.
Plus, pinning the blame on ALL the cops is ridiculous. The whole force could be saying it was murder and 1 higher up could be telling them to shut up and chalk it up as solved. Word to The Wire.
And by saying:

You're insinuating that the killer(s) are white and they targeted him because he was black. That's a huge assumption without a sliver of evidence.

@ this thread.RIP to Kendrick Johnson, I know his family is going through it. Even a minor discrepancy like not calling the coroner, while it could have been a simple mistake, could lead to your mind racing in a thousand different directions when your kin is involved. I know his family is going through it right now.
I hope everyone knows that I was in no way trying to marginalize this young man's death or any of ya'lls personal experiences with my statements. Peace.

There's a handful of awfully naive people in here regards to this. Not sure if that's on purpose or on accident. I feel like people are going overboard to play devils advocate just to get a rise out of others.

I couldn't even imagine how hot it would be inside one. Wrestling gyms are always hot and muggy. I bet inside a rolled up mat is at least 130 degrees..

Never said the whole police force? I said the sheriff. The guy that did the investigation and the same guy that runs the police department. Also the facts are there to say the sheriff is covering something up. go read all the facts I posted in this thread I'm sick of rewriting them because people don't read the entire thread smh.

This is why I think that the Stand Your Ground Law is stupid. I agree with it in principle, that you should be able to use deadly force to defend yourself, but once it got all the media attention and was passed, all of these idiots think it just gives them an excuse to go wild west style on whoever they want. This dude is gonna' get slammed in court. I had a friend who discharged a firearm out of his whip and the lawyer told him that the Stand Your Ground defense won't work when you are driving a vehicle, because you can just drive away if you feel threatened.

I just didn't base my theory as to what happened off that 1 article. I've been reading several articles on this case and about the city. Some of the things I found I posted to support what i was saying. 30 people have died in the Lowndes county jail since 1997. Other deaths were ruled suicides. Family of these people believe they were killed due to a number of reasons that could have been prevented. Some people believe their family members were murdered by police in that jail. I posted a link to a video where a guy was talking about how badly he was treated in that jail. No one was ever charged with any deaths in that jail. A Street there is named plantation drive, A couple other places have the name plantation in them too. The African American community wants them changed but the city won't change them. There is a park there named after a slave owner and African Americans have complained about it yet the city still won't change the name. smh Racism is alive and well in that community.
Also Kendrick Johnson's friends think they know who killed him. They said the night before he went missing that Kendrick was involved in a altercation with the sheriff's son. They think the sheriff's son has something to do with it and that is why the sheriff did the autopsy his self to cover up for his son. The sheriff said there was no signs of struggle or no cuts or bruises. The photo's of Kendrick's body show he has bruises and lacerations on his body.
So when I say I feel like the sheriff is covering his death up that is why I come to that conclusion. Is it about race? maybe but it could be about anything. The facts do show that the Sheriff broke the law when he didn't call the coroner to do the autopsy and that's a fact! What do you mean? Have you heard about the white supremacist who killed the warden of that prison in Colorado? That was recent. Maybe I shouldn't say the klan. I just categorize all white supremacist as the klan since they all have the same values and beliefs when it comes to other races. Out here in the jails in Nevada the neo nazi's and klan are deep. I know in Michigan where I'm from the Aryan Brotherhood is the biggest gang in the state. All of them share the same beliefs as the klan.

Yeah, that's white prison gangs though, not the KKK. I'm talking about out on the streets, not in federal supermaxes. I guess you are right, though, their ideologies all bleed together. There is no reason to believe that the sheriff has any contact with people like that though.

They started in prison but they are operating out of the jails and prisons too. The Sheriff has been a cop in that town since the 1970's and he's been involved with some race related incidents. Don't know if it's his beliefs or just him getting mixed up with how the town is though.
