Prodigy believes 2Pac was faking the Biggie Smalls beef to Sell Records (13 Minute Mark)

1. If it's true, genius move by Pac. Sold MILLIONS
2. Don't care if it's true or false but why now? This is why I hate stories like this or when artist tell this info. Why almost 20 years after his death?

Co-sign this. I mean, isn't that the main purpose? Selling records?

Dat plan also got Biggie killed...........

and Pac sold records even before he started naming dropping, Biggie's and other names. He was in jail, when Me Against the World, went number 1.

Don't get me wrong fam. It did get Big killed, and that sure wasn't a good thing. What I was trying to say is that underneath all the facade it always boils down to marketing/publicity stunts. To sell records. It's just sad that it had to end in the death of 2 of the greatest of all time.

Biggie got Biggie killed.  Dudes act like he was a saint

The more I think back on what Pac really did when he was alive, the lower my opinion of him sinks.

He was running around reckless with a huge battery in his back, portraying this character that wasn't him and causing all types of unneeded turmoil.

He was on self-destruct mode and he dragged Biggie down with him.

i feel the same

Explain to us how Biggie got himself killed.
Instead of letting Pac "run wild," he threw subliminals as well, which kept the feud going.  I'm sure he wanted to end it, but he should've brushed it off and kept it moving.  Not to mention, he was involved in assault and drug cases, so it's not like he kept himself away from trouble.  In the end, they're both responsible for their own deaths...

i thought that was obvious. he just got out of jail broke. matter of fact, pac told biggie at i think at a soul train awards show in his ear "i'm just tryna sell some records" when BIG confronted PAC.

Does anyone believe anything Prodigy has to say?

I should hope not.

99% of "Street" rappers in general can't be trusted anyway. Most of them are the "smart" ones out of their crews who rap about @#$% their boys do/did, but they're not smart enough to avoid getting dragged down with them while trying to maintain that image. Don't shed tears (not you illphillip, just speaking in general) when someone calls out your favorite rapper. It's some WWE bull @#$% that some idiots take too far, so just enjoy the music

They're not all built the same though. Prodigy been at the forefront of these dues that talk FAR beyond their status.

This ain't even no street ****. You all assume that "realness" = "street". I'm just saying dudes need to be true to themselves. Street or otherwise.

A minute ago P was talking about almost hooking up with Mary, Rihanna. All types of ****. Tell all book from a dude? No thank you.

I'm consistent. You will rarely, if ever, hear me say anything good about this dude or Ross.

Not every "street" rappers is as far removed from their rhymes as these dudes in my opinion.

I like The Infamous. But I haven't believed a word this dude said since Juvenile Hell.

. source?

Heard this too from multiple sources over the years.

That's why BIG was so hurt, he looked at Pac as a real friend and son was trying to sell records by slandering his name.

Pac was born and spent mad years in NYC and then jut flipped the switch to generate a buzz.

I can't respect it man.

I used to be caught up in that Thug Angel propaganda, til I got older and really started judging homie by his actions, works and legacy.

Well, let us know when you get shot 5 times and come out the same dude you were before the shooting.  I don't care if it's my family or my boys, if you're hanging with the dude that set me up, you and I will have problems.  Do I think Big was involved?  No.  Do I think Big might've had prior knowledge?  Possibly.  Do I think Big knew after the shooting?  Yes...

Dude had plenty of flaws but he always gave props to NY on every album he got a NY track. An his fam moved to california in 88 it wasnt like he just came out here for the first time after gettin shot. Trying to get a buzz was not sumthin he needed biggie for. all the controversy he had going on without the bad boy ish he coulda dropped a album of unfinished tracks an gone triple plat coming out of jail. He had a real problem with Biggie which was if you know folks in your buildin where u recordin that i got beef with then let me fu**in know. he said biggie and puff owed him that for him being they friend lettin him open for him etc etc. So from his view they didnt do what they was sposed to. Those was the same ppl that was extortin puffy at the time so its not that far fetched. Nobody kno if its true or not but if you cant put 2 and 2 together to say oh ish i better let ol boy know u basically are setting him up by way of inaction. Now did he use it to sell records yea i think so. He put way more on it with the "5 shots couldnt stop me i took it and smiled" which made it more sensationalized like biggie put the hit on him which made him sound stupid bcuz if u know this ni**a tried to kill u then u go get active not rap about it. But on 7 day theory he rapped about henchman an the dudes that he rly had fonk with but still that didnt make sense for the same reason i said before. but i never heard nobody in no article or interview with anybody where he came out and said "im just tryin to sell records" still waitin for yawl to come up with it...i think it was a byproduct of a real issue and he jus capitolized on it.

Pac was the one hanging with the dudes that shot him up.

Those weren't BIG's boys. Initially it had nothing to do with BIG or Puff. How you gonna get your man shot and robbed in the studio, while you're in there recording? Makes no sense. If Pac really thought it was Bad Boy behind the shooting he would've said it....all he kept alluding to was that they knew who did it and didn't do anything about it.

Pac was running with Haitian Jack and his crew of goons and got on their wrong side. His setup had nothing to do with BIG and he knew it. Once again he got out of pocket and got himself into some s_. Instead of manning up and seeing the errors of his ways, he turned the situation into a marketing scheme.

i give him props for poking out his chest and taking strong stances at such a young age but he ultimately ran from his destiny as a leader for black youth and got caught up in the whirlwind of peer pressure and BS,

Jimmy Henchman said he setup Pac, years later.  He had ties to Bad Boy at the time and Pac knew Henchman had a hand in it.  Like I said, I believe Big knew after the shooting, but still associated with Henchman and that's why Pac was mad.  He also said when he got out the elevator Big and them wouldn't look at him, so I'm sure that got him a little suspicious too.  Either way, you have your opinion and I have mine, but my whole point is I think it's unfair for you to blame Pac for Biggie's death as if Biggie wasn't getting into trouble or adding fuel to fire with his subliminal disses...
