Thats exactly how it happened. I didnt watch it until the summer after it released it theaters, and I was very underwhelmed. Watched it once more after that and that was it for me

It sure does. I've never hated a movie as much as I hated blue people Avatar. Its one of the worst movies I've ever seen and it sure as hell didnt help that everyone and their mom was hyping it up to death. If I could I would light every copy of that movie that exists on fire.

Nope tried to watch it on dvd twice. Once I got bored and fell asleep second time I got fed up with how bad it was and turned it off. Theaters wouldn't have saved it I would have just been angrier that I wasted eleven dollars. Hate that movie.

The whole hype behind the movie was seeing it in 3D in theaters. You missed the point. Nobody was hyped about the home release of Avatar.

The visuals will probably be incredible, but I can see the storyline and acting potentially being very weak...

The story was terrible. When I heard about how great this movie was I was expecting to be blown away by something, I expected twists that I've never seen or characters that drew me in, and what I got was Pocahontas with ugly characters. I'm not a huge movie buff and i admittedly am not a good judge of acting quality but I can tell when bad acting is happening and 20+ people speaking the same monotone voice throughout a 3 hour movie= bad acting. I didnt like te visuals either, they weirded me out more than anything. That movie is a 0 out of 10000000000000000000 there wasnt a single thing good about it

Avater sucked, the hype/promotion was was incredible and made the world believe we're seeing something special. I can't believe I spent around 15 bucks go see that waste of time.
