Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept Revealed

Good comp for the X3. This is niiiice

Edit:

People commenting the engine definitely don't know cars. What's the point of putting a hefty, big engine inside of this small of an SUV? You want a bigger engine with some power, cop the ML or GLK550. That simple. You can't deny Benz overall quality and longevity their cars hold. Just sayin...

is that a matte grey finish? Anyone know if there has been any development regarding matte finishes on cars during the past few years? Are they still as sensitive, can't be washed etc.?

Yeah this is a matte grey finish. Benz has made an effort to add matte color to its exterior line-up. The finish is still very sensitive. Whenever we sell a vehicle with matte grey finish at our dealership, we have to include a waiver in the paperwork that explains that you shouldn't take the car through a car wash or wax it, etc. The best way to clean matte finish is to basically clean it with soap and water (handwash).

damn near every benz at this past nyc auto show was that matte color

looks very nice

dont really care for it but i could see it competing with the q5 and macan if the price is right

Yo MB gotta chill with those interiors. That and the CLA interior is trash but I guess you get what you pay for...

Exterior is :smokin

I personally prefer the Macan.

Waiting more info on the Lexus LF-NX too.

the macan is nice too and i expect this to be priced around the same as the macan s. i'm partial to MB and amazed at how much performance they can squeeze out of that little 2 liter 4 cylinder.

That's the thing though, they're trying to squeeze too much from a small engine for a heavier vehicle. I understand the turbo 2.0l on a Z4 or a C-Class/CLA but on a utility vehicle, power delivery isn't going to be smooth.

The power on my Z4s 2.0 turbo delivery is slow and hesitant in comparison to how smooth and swift on the IS250s V6. And it's not exactly turbo lag either, the 2.0 turbo just feels frantic and jumpy, definitely feels faster than the IS250 but for overall daily driving, the Lexus V6 is definitely much, much better.

Definitely test drive both and back to back if possible before making a decision.

i will definitely do more research. it's still over a year away before this hits the streets anyway. i'm sure the reviews will pour in as well in the near future.
