Dexter Season 8 - Premeres June 30th - 2min sneak peak

What a sh*%++ season. The whole MO of Dexter as a serial killer throughout the enrire series gas been him putting bad people ON HIS TABLE! He didn't kill a single muthaf^*^^* on the table this season. Yeah I'm mad.

The original show runner Clyde Phillips (seasons 1-4) vision of the ending.

about a million times better.

"In the very last scene of the series," Philips explained, "Dexter wakes up. And everybody is going to think, 'Oh, it was a dream.' And then the camera pulls back and back and back and then we realize, 'No, it's not a dream.' Dexter's opening his eyes and he's on the execution table at the Florida Penitentiary. They're just starting to administer the drugs and he looks out through the window to the observation gallery.

"And in the gallery are all the people that Dexter killed—including the Trinity Killer and the Ice Truck Killer (his brother Rudy), LaGuerta who he was responsible killing, Doakes who he's arguably responsible for, Rita, who he's arguably responsible for, Lila. All the big deaths, and also whoever the weekly episodic kills were. They are all there.

"That's what I envisioned for the ending of Dexter. That everything we've seen over the past eight seasons has happened in the several seconds from the time they start Dexter's execution to the time they finish the execution and he dies. Literally, his life flashed before his eyes as he was about to die. I think it would have been a great, epic, very satisfying conclusion."

scott buck (the current show runner) is a piece of ****. If I saw him in da skreets, its fade on sight.
Thanks making it even more depressing :smh:

That ending seems like a masterpiece after what I just saw and stepping away from this trash ending that version is actually really good.

*SIGH*

Thanks for clarification. I always told my lady that season 1-4 were the best and it started to slip up after...now I know why lol

Maybe i was too into the show...and I was all good with everything...until this MF seriously rolled Deb's body out the hospital and carried her to the boat with no one noticing?!

No mention about any of miami metro even looking for deb's body?! Seriously though...this one episode may have ruined the entire series...unbelievable.

I would have been perfectly fine if it had ended after season 4 with the spoiler above...

And I never ever liked Hannah McKay. Worst character in the entire series...

So, they just gonna let him roll her out of the hospital himself and blatantly carry a body onto a boat? Is that how Miami rolls?

Quinn's face after Dexter killed Oliver.

No dambs.

So true  Quinn's face was basically the "Alonzo Mourning" gif

But I agree with the general consensus that this was terrible for a series finale. Not sure if this finale and the final season as a whole was worse than Entourage's.

There was no true closure to anything and it all seemed so rushed and half-assed. Vogel and Saxon got hyped up throughout the season and both went out with a whimper.

:smh: Elway ended up being nothing more than just a high profile cameo by Sean Patrick Flanery.

That envisioned ending by the OG show runner definitely takes a steaming pile of crap over what we just saw tonight.

This final season should have focused on Dexter's secret life being discovered and his world crumbling as a result of his dark secret being revealed to the people in his life.

why did he have to go and do all that for? Wouldn't chillin in Argentina been alot cooler? Dexter went the black dad route and just punked out, smh.

WTF did I just watch? saying that ending was bad is an understatement. did the writers of Dexter have a bet with writers of Breaking Bad, see who could write the worst series ending ever vs best series ending ever?

Kinda ironic how the series is like Deb, started off great moving on up
to falling way down then have a damn breathing tube on you and mercifully glad to see it dying off

Welp.

It took the final episode of the final season, but the majority of y'all got what you wanted in Deb dying.

I've accepted the fact that Dexter isn't the show that it once was, so I decided to approach the series finale with an open mind, and not let my overall frustrations with the show the last few seasons hamper my enjoyment of the finale. Not gonna front, the finale was very good......to a point. All the signs pointed to Deb meeting her demise with the constant reassurances that she would be okay, and that random flashback with her and Dex in hospital when Harrison was born.

That was a great scene with Dexter saying goodbye to Deb and her being his final kill. I thought them going out together at the bottom of the ocean was a nice touch and I would've been satisfied with that ending, but that didn't happen.

How this ************ survived a hurricane out in the open water with his small *** boat?  I don't think even Goku could've survived that. Then he creates a new life for himself as Lumberjack Jim.

Couple of questions came to my mind watching the finale:

- Did Dexter really think that leaving Harrison with Hannah was the best option? I mean she is a wanted fugitive and all. A fugitive BTW that seems to have lost all her damns a while ago, evidenced by the fact that she loves to be in public and despite this has not altered her appearance at all to make herself less recognizable.

Also did Quinn and Batista stop giving a **** about Deb? It was several days after the hurricane when Batista got that call about Dexter. They didn't follow up with the hospital to see how Deb's condition was during that time? If they did, then they would've learned that Debra's body was missing and would've put all their resources into investigation her disappearance seeing how close they were to her, right? It looked like it was just another day at Miami metro and Batista didn't seem to have a care in the world.

And the final scene of the series is Dexter looking like Paul Bunyan staring into the camera?

Yeah in his mind especially with Harrison saying how he love her and implying he wanted Hannah as his step mom the entire season. He probably felt as long as Harrison is comfortable then that's all that matters.

Batista not looking into it further is just bad writing. It seemed the entire season was one big middle finger to everyone's intelligence. Like today's episode Saxon was like a ghost while in public bloodied up and assaulting people like nothing. The writer's don't give one damn..

awful awful ending. awful show. should've ended at season 4.

he should've got caught or killed.

there was 0 suspense 0 anything. just trash

really enjoyed where they went with the ending , they shouldnt have tried to compete with breaking bad

they shoulda started the season 2-3 weeks ago ...

the season itself was a letdown , but definitely happy with the outcome of the show

My buddy said that Lundy told Dexter Oregon is where serial killers go retire so that's why they filmed in the last scene in Astoria, Oregon

Yeah I got all that, my point was more along the lines of why she didn't she make a more concerted effort to keep a low profile.

I mean Dexter couldn't be like "Hey baby why don't you keep your head down for a while, or why don't you dye your hair so it's harder to recognize you?"

In the world of Dexter, especially this season, no one can see the main characters apparently. They should have taxi'ed it out of Miami to begin with then leave from a different airport. Going with a bus was just stupid.

wow Honest Trailers is gonna have a field day with this. The whole final episode i was like "is this once awesome show really gonna end like this cr@p...??
:smh:

I can even imagine the actors reading the script and saying :x efff it i'm paid already. :smh:

I havent watched the last 3 or so episodes of dexter, but by reading some of your responses in here, it was bad  . This season was horrible.

Dexter wheeling Deb out of the hospital and into his boat was the funniest **** I've seen on TV in a good while.

Every season the show has insulted the viewer's intelligence to a point and been a bit campy, but this season was by far the worst on both fronts.

Considering how they butchered the season, the finale could've been worse. If they took a different direction from the point just before he went to see Saxon, it probably would've been as good as I could've expected going in to the episode.
