I want to show you guys this vid from the /B/ Cringe thread vol. Do fat people repulse you?

I have to disagree with this because I too thought sizing down was unnecessary when I bought my first pair of raw denim. I went with my normal size, 33, and they stretched about 2 inches in the waist. It's different for every brand, though.

Like I said, this doesn't belong here. If you'd like we can take it to the denim thread.

Maybe if you aren't washing your jeans but once every 6+ months, which is totally unnecessary to produce nice fades. Plus the general consensus to size down 2 is because most jeans like APC's where that advice is given is because they are vanity sized.

Yes, I know that.

No point in expanding on it any further in here because there is a thread for it.

I just saw this and felt like this was the right place for it.

this is what i think this thread was originally made for.  this is ridiculous on some super sayan 4 levels.  **** if i was 'Chloe' i'd be thanking that place for letting people know their are healthier options.  it wasn't 'shaming' anything.  oatmeal + strawberries = delicious and filling anyway.  are commercials for work out stuff shaming too?

Oatmeal and strawberries is in fact a delicious combination :pimp:

As is a bagel and cream cheese , though

:nerd:

since this thread has turned into TAN- I figured i'd ask: Whats the point of wearing skinny jeans (or fitted/tight jeans)? Or dressing to impress anyways? Wouldn't you be trying to impress women by dressing what yall consider to be "better"? Every woman I've ever heard comment on skinny/slim jeans says that men look ridiculous in them, on that peter pan steez. So.... with that said- what is the point? Extra support for your... legs...?

No slick talk, just curious
I get relaxed or loose straight jeans, because they serve the purpose I want- to be comfortable.

if its skinny, like i cant get my wallet out without standing up, i cant do that. but slim jeans i f wit, its just more clean to me. And that type of slim type fit has been around FOREVER. but thats me.... alot of my friends still rock baggy pants and i don't criticize because that's there thing and they embrace it and that's cool.
But when you're talking about TIGHT jeans, i agree. I live in hipster heaven, and they literally wear girls jeans. Like if you grabbed your jean leg with both hands and pulled it tight. Thats almost trolling imo. Like if i can see how much change you got in your pocket...you need to go home and change wit that dumb s***.

back to the topic tho

fat people dont repulse me but lazy people do.

OP, uncle Ruslan says "you're a loser."

This has little to do with caring about someone's health and more to do with stroking your ego, by engaging in a "fat bashing" orgy. That's what this thread will turn into. That's what it always turns into. It's frat boy antics; I've seen it many times on here, and elsewhere, and it's disgusting. You're a bully, or a wannabe bully, and I thoroughly dislike people like you...:smh:

Instead of trying to induce and/or effect change via shaming and humiliation, why not try a more tactful approach? Respect and consideration goes a long way. If you can accept people as they are, then they will alternatively be open to accepting you and your message of a, supposedly, healthier lifestyle--if that's in fact what this is really about.

...

all of this.

NAAFA Policy Recommendations

Employment

Include weight in the Civil Rights Act or create separate federal anti-discrimination legislation based on weight and seek inclusion in anti-discrimination policies of major corporations and institutions.

Health care

Encourage health care organizations to adopt a Health At Every Size (HAES) policy and include HAES in patients’ rights policies.

Educational Institutions

Protect overweight children from bullying and intimidation in school by requiring states and/or school districts to adopt HAES and enforce policies prohibiting harassment, intimidation, or bullying on school property.

Include weight as a specific protected category.

So they want to encourage health care organizations to teach people that being fat is healthy? :smh:

Health At Every
Size (HAES)

Introduction

NAAFA supports the principles of Health At Every Size (HAES). These principles are aligned with our mission of protecting the rights and improving the quality of life for fat people. Instead of focusing on weight as a measurement of health, the HAES approach removes weight from the equation and replaces it with a focus on overall well being, which includes the full range of body shapes and sizes.

General Principles

Accepting and respecting the diversity of body shapes and sizes
Recognizing that health and well-being are multi-dimensional and that they include physical, social, spiritual, occupational, emotional, and intellectual aspects
Promoting all aspects of health and well-being for people of all sizes
Promoting eating in a manner which balances individual nutritional needs, hunger, satiety, appetite, and pleasure
Promoting individually appropriate, enjoyable, life-enhancing physical activity, rather than exercise that is focused on a goal of weight loss
