before anyone goes rushing to taobao, just a reminder: they often use misleading photos. if you don't get what is pictured, returning them to china will cost you

don't see why this site is still sponsored by SneakerApe.  anyone selling sneakers prior to its release date does not seem legit.  that's just my opinion.

So wildly irrelevant

Kinda... but you know as well as anyone that this has been going on for a long time and its really just more evidence that these shoes are coming from the same place .

Its become pretty obvious that some of these early releases are unauthorized shoes from very early production runs when the factory's are working out the kinks and details before Mass scale production. This is why we've see shoes like the cleartoe concords, #45 concords, gold eyelit DMPs and a even few shoes with Y3 PROMO tags show up available through these "grey market" vendors.

Its possible that Nike tells the company's that manufacture these different early test run shoes to destroy them but instead a manager just fills out the paper work saying they were destroyed when in reality he plans on selling them himself.

I remember years ago in 2001, there were alot of early release white/navy/silver midtop Is on the market. What made these early Is so interesting was they had a full color photo-realistic jumpman on the heel just like the samples. Anyone got some pics of those ?

If you guys want, I'll take whatever angles you want later. But there's no differences.

Just got home from work though let me chill for a bit. Ill check back in this thread later.
that would be a big help. thx fam. just take pics of the tag inside the shoe & whatever else u want

Ok, and I have no problem with that, but some of the comments in that other post are just plain ignorant.
I admit   exposing members to grey market shoes  part was kinda ignorant

The rest were all facts collected from this thread and base on logical thinking, in the end it's still a religion because it's base on moral beliefs. But the fam here are slowly accepting the fact it is what it is. Still waiting for jumpmankb for some up close Royal 1s shot to rest my case.

Should have posted here but here's what jumpmankb is talking about. If you don't already have a pair of royals be careful.

you cant tell the difference unless the quality on some are trash so not sure how anyone can be careful.

Ok I now see that the Nike Air tag on the tongue is further down from the top on the pair to the right. Are these the same size? I think there's about 3 sets of the same size upstairs. Let me go compare and take pics. Brb.
tags look the same to me lol

yep. first off thanks jumpmankb for uploading the pics. all i have to say no way in hell i will cop da grey market royals. good thing i copped mine from FTL. The pics solved a major question which was "whats the difference?" even though they might be similar they have their defects.

What defects are visible to you ?

For the Royals. Look at the (poor) quality of the royal blue midsole paint not being perfectly aligned and sloppy (not to mention a messy glue job) the sticker indicating the size inside the midsole, the quality of the leather and if placed next to a real pair, the royal blue on the GM soles is brighter. Those are telltale signs of GM Royals.

I recently bought a pair and compared it to my friends "authentic" pair. Needless to say I am currently working to get a refund for these shoes.

thanks for pointing out the defects..

^ Height and cut is more even than most retail pairs Ive seen  :smh:

I do see a small blemish on the heel of the left shoe where the blue sole meets the white midsole, but Ive seen that same kind of molding flaw on plenty of other 100% authentic shoes.

dates are different on all pairs if you guys didnt know.

you could get different start/end dates on all pairs.

ya we know

on a lot of early release kicks they'll say they were produced in like 7 days tho. thats an immediate red flag

i really see no flaws on these compared to the retail pairs.

all the flaws i do see like sloppy glue, or sloppy paint in small spots was like that on retail pairs too
