would've made more sense and more worth the price tag.
Hope it's matte, might come down to a rd decision for me.

I got my pair last Wednesday and it's not matte, it's glossy and dope AF. Also, to whoever was wondering if these are more of an Orlando Magic away colorway... You exactly right. The blue is actually called "Game Royal Blue". There's no purple/concord on these shoes whatsoever and I'm personally happy about that. I know that everybody calls then "Concords", but they're technically not Concords without the purple. These bad boys are beautiful I posted my pair on my IG (mintunderground) last week. I grabbed these and those LeBron "Independence Day" Lows the same day. Both shoes are dope and very comfortable.

Would have been worth taking the time to paint the leather and dye the sock liner.

I'm just waiting for the Knicks foams. The only other shoes I'm buying this year are the VI's in November and the XI's in December (unless those pantone XI's come out or something else), so I'm just twiddling my thumbs until then.
Same here man. Only 2 kicks i want we gotta wait till fall. Agree with pantones too

I assume they are not doctored but more along the lines of a non final production model. The same way they changed things for the Kobe9 Elite Gold. Then again...what do I know? =P

Wonder if acetone would take off that gloss and give them that matte/stealth look. Hmmmmmm

Def doctored. All pics shown for months have had the shiny finish.

I was thinking this; because the areas on my thermals that had no color graphic just turned into a clear, sticky jelly when acetoned.

only way nike is throwing up off is releasing this garbage...everyone pic is different..the lighting used etc.. even the red suede 14s looks diff in the light and the yeezy solar foams...that sock liner red no one really knew what it looked like till we got in hand

Gave the acetone treatment to a pair of Weatherman's and wanted to share my best best practices, tips and materials I used. From start to finish it took me a total of 10 hrs over two days.

1 pair of latex gloves
100 ct of cotton Swisspers Rounds
100 ct of cotton Swisspers applicators
2 16 oz 100% pure acetone
1 toothbrush
1 towel
1 nail file

It was a lot harder then I expected. You really have use some force to get the print off. I started out using cotton pads on the first shoe but switched to a old towel on the second shoe and it was much faster. I found that what you want to do is once you start to see a section of the print coming up go with the grooves of the material either up or down almost like you are a peeling a layer back. That was the fastest and easiest way I found to get the print off. Keep a clean towel ready to wipe off the print because as soon as it dries it sticks right back on the shoe. That was the most annoying part of the whole process.

The cotton swispers were really good for all the tight places and in between the grooves. I also used a tooth brush in some areas as well. When the print was really stuck on what I did was I took a cotton applicator and got the area as wet with acetone as I could then scrapped it off with the fold out nail file in a pair of nail clippers.

As far as how much acetone you will use. I would def recommend two 16 oz bottles. The more you apply the easier it comes off.

I like the finished look of the shoe. Worth the work. The thermal maps could be easier since they don't have the embedded grooves in the shoes.

Anyone has any questions ask here or feel free to PM me. All the material was bought at WalMart.

i totally forgot @skep
had took these pics...they definitely aint matte black...nike really trying to throw people off with doctored pics like @bigj505
 said

Definitely glossy, and as I had previously mentioned, finger prints were all over these things. This is no where near the material finish of the anthracite or stealth foams. More of a white out glossy finish, only in black of course

I think you and others may be confused about the foam finishes.
The ones to acetone are the ones with print on them. Solid foams aren't painted.
WHAT!?! You mean there won't be galaxy paint under the black? Then that's an easy pass on Saturday.
