Honestly, it's the best price out there. If my cousin has them then the money is his.
I'd rather that money go to fam than to a stranger PLUS I was gonna buy them anyways.
$500 is def a compromise cause he loses some from the sale and you pay more than retail.

I have no problem with someone looking at me as a legit connection if I can get something that they can't. It's not greedy to have someone offer me like $250 for something I maybe paid $225 for. I wouldn't be offended in the least.
Because that's one more person on my list of people I can hit up should I need something that ain't around my way or whatever.

This is exactly why I didn't respond. I don't play this reseller game or operate by that ideology, so it was an "agree to disagree" kind of thing for me by default.
It's always about the love for me, so if you're my man, family, or just someone who also seems to genuinely love sneakers; profit isn't even something that crosses my mind.
Very interested to see how much justice they do the Pearls this go around. I like the 2010 pair for what it is though.

Sounds like he showing you love to me unless he has an extra pair, he cant take $500 and find another pair. But even if he did double up, he losin g a few hundred letting em go for half of a s stack. I went after these but unfortanately I didn't get my snkrs app until later that evening. I thought the $275 tag was excessive. Older I get the more I start to question why would I spend over $200 for a pair of shoes.
I got a cousin in New York that hit me up yesterday saying he has some chromes to sell me. I asked him how much and he said $500. I asked him what about a family discount and he told me that is a family discount.
I was checking out ebay expecting to see these flooding the listing, but my size (size 12) I don't see too many on sale.

The sneaker game will definitely cave in within the next couple of years the direction it is headed in now. People want exclusive and nice kicks that have memory behind them especially retro kicks. Most people with a level headed mentality will say if they can't get the shoes they want at decent prices they will wait for the next wave or re-stock. It's only so many times people are going to shell out $800 for a $275 retail shoe. Even a smart and rich businessman wouldn't agree with the logic of paying that much over retail. I've done business in my field with wealthy people and their #1 non-negotiable business wise is someone who tries to overprice them just because they are wealthy. Between these and those ugly Yeezy's priced at $350 the hype will only be for so long. I'm calling it now.

It's one thing if dude was able to get multiple pairs, but if that's his only one he shouldn't feel obliged to give it to a friend for retail just because they want it.
If guy said he'll try to get his cousin a pair when they release, gets it, and then charges him more....then that's another story. But if I just randomly found out my cousin had a pair on the market, and it was his only one, I wouldn't expect him to give it to me for retail because we're family
