They have a color all their own. Not really black, not gray, but they do have a nice sheen to them. The eyelet nubuck is also not straight black, neither is the tongue mesh, or laces. It's like they took a blue based black dye as opposed to whatever hue they usually use. Here are some comparison pics with my Solars.

How do you get the SNKRS app?
 
It will be given to those who attend the events over the weekend. Those ppl will also get their access code. Basically, you will leave the event will a fully functioning app before everyone else gets selected by Nike
