Agreed, I much rather the nubuck over leather.Pretty much.
I don't recall seeing all of the hate for the leather trim on other foams. I hate those more than the stamped 1 cent especially since people said its imprinted pretty well. That leather heel piece would crease and fold like no other

This thread brings joy sometimes.. i cant even knock you for painting soles.. Ill just be saying to myself...
its still cheaper to apply protection...lol

have you done a cost analysis on painting the soles vs the sole protectors? i own an airbrush kit bcuz i don't just collect shoes, and paints for the amount needed for shoes isn't expensive at all, any hobby lobby will get you what you need fo less that a gallon of gas, now your sole protectors at $20 a pop each and every time.....LOL

How I feel about them.
The sole looks good and was nicely executed but I don't know if I could rock them.
The other pair with the fruity upper should be burned.

my local FTA got the golds no raffles just got back from lunch they look a lot better in person, and they def have a metallic sheen to them, not liquid like the mirrors but metallic yes

if you comparing to "DIY" to "Off-The-counter" yes.. but if you compare "DIY" to "DIY" they are very similar in price.. but if you coutn going to someone to get them painted its higher in that scenario..

courtsidesneakers sent me an un-DS pair of obsidians.....well not totally true. they sent me half DS obsidians
the left shoe's laces are all loosened like one does when putting shoes on for the first time, and the black parts of the sole have light "ashy" parts where the person stepped on the floor. the right shoe is factory laced and DS though.
no compaints really. just thought id share that tidbit. these look a lot better in person. definitely underrated. glad i snatched a pair.
