The logic is that if we release items that are "worse" than the original people will complain and gripe about said items and wish upon many a star for the originals, then when people are informed that the originals are re-releasing they typically sell fast and hard

it's gone because it's not available. although foams as a whole are there, the colorways that you want aren't and it appears that most of you miss those colorways and would give an arm and a leg for em to drop. And Nike, while they try new things, already has those retros y'all want planned out because they know whenever they do release em y'all will hop all over em. Prime example is how "New Coke" flopped but when they brought back "Coca Cola Classic" it outsold everything LINK
I actually saw a tv special/documentary on Coke detailing its history and that misstep. Not a good example here. They thought they could add revenue with the new formula and gain greater market share. It flopped and many consumers flipped to the comp. They had to go back. Coke was beloved for generations before the experiment.
simple isnt always good and not everything is black and white and those two circumstances are like apples and oranges but I'll leave it alone. You seem locked in to that logical construct
