these days they do and nike plays into it heavily... every Lebron XII has a name on the shoe :x I guess some marketing genius figured people wont just buy a clean cool grey shoe without a gimmicky name/theme and story anymore. 
(no dunkforces, Im talking glory days Lebron 8 and 9 cool greys) so Foams get a name, Jordans get a name... even garbage Kyries need a name.

Kyries are not garbage. They are cost effective shoes that resembles a 150 nike shoe with Louboutin spikes on the heel. Now those regular season lebrons....bahahahahaha

Yeah I agree, I'm just saying no matter what the shoe is people wanna create a name for everything and now Nike has jumped on it too... I hate the term "breds" with a passion. I can understand if you wanna refer to the shoe by a color from the box, Concords, Solars, Flaxes, Nets, etc. or if Nike explicitly gives it a name, Gator Kings, Big Bangs, Aunt Pearls, etc. but Bred, Blink, "He got games" (only heard that from one member, you know who you are

I honestly still say black and red and playoffs occasionally. Concord I'm cool with because that's the Color on the bottom of 11's but I hate when people call shoes concord when it's black and white. Concord is a freaking purplish blueish or whatever color not a name for a black and white shoe
