I'd have no shame in using layaway to be honest. The problem I remember is that they charge you a "fee" to use it so you'd pay more than retail.

That whole "if you have to layaway then you don't need to be buying" statement can go out the door tho. Shoes don't drop at our convenience and no everyone wants to be dropping some $500 plus tax at once.

Its not about shame.  Layaway isn't free, there usually is some sort of fee attached so that makes it no better than copping a pair of kicks with your credit card which I just would never do.  At least with your credit card you don't have to pay any interest till your statement date.

Not really.

layaway didn't phase me back then bcuz i had that 30% off employee discount, i really miss that

I miss those FTL days.. Jordans were CHEAP.. could get release day kicks for 90-100 bucks.. Whew!!!.. Jordans were affordabale then.. Now its getting closer to car note money.

that fee can be off set with discounts though, my shopkicks cover tax and then some with the giftcards i get and thats before mil disco if i get to use it

in Killeen it was 99c and i'm not proud to say back then i was doing gas runs, i never paid for gas

Back then, I worked there and they didn't charge employees the fee. I don't remember actually using the layaway, but I have a few receipts from back then that say layaway on there and showed my payment history with 30% off and no fees.

My input on it tho, if you can't pay it out right you probably should be working on a savings account rather than living paycheck to paycheck and buying top dollar sneakers. I certainly shouldn't have back then, but air forces were under $50 with discount and foot locker paid dirt lol. Paying all your own bills at 16 wasn't much fun, but I've grown to be very responsible because of it.

my thing with laway is i like to put money aside every paycheck for my savings acct(which i just exhausted) so and i refuse to cut into my savings with shoe buying so it helps in that area if i ever was to use it, i don't remember if we had to pay the fee but we probably didn't, i remember back then we got paid out the register and sometimes thanks to shoe buying i didn't always see a check

My homegirl used layaway last yr to get her son a pair of Griffey's and some other stuff they pushed on her.. All she paid was  the total, no fee for layaway... Ppl need to realize the rules differ from store to store...

we all know that most people who are getting drops are living check to check.. They do studies and surveys for this and they have foudn out that jordans and iphones are more important than paying rent on time for some.. thats why over time companies got rid of their unlimited data plans. and jordans have been rising faster than the occasion..

Just imagine this.. Jordan 3's in the 80's were the same rprice the 1999-2000 retros were..

Actually saving money in a savings account too me makes layaway more attractive if I had to use it.  That way you can save what you normally do and still get the shoes over time.

Bottom line is we all have different financial situations. Me? It's I can't pay in cash after all my bills are paid I'm all set.

Seen the Sharpie pack today the dopes are decent but it does liik like nike painted the black parts smh

I un-thermaled my Thermals with great success. I wonder if the same can be done for the Sharpies.

thats the point lol.

yall do know Penny sharpied his pair correct? hence why Nike made them to resemble them..
Nike should have did this idea..

Royal Foamposite..

Comes with dry erasable sharpie..

solved!!

We'd be in here taking photos for the gram with many ideas that could be easily wiped away so when we wanna savor that "royal" moment.. but no.. Nike doesnt want us to be creative..lol

ordered the gone fishing from sneakersnstuff on saturday.. first time ordering from them. hope they ship and don't cancel. anyone know what to expect from them?

I agree with this I was just pointing to the fact that just because someone is using layaway doesn't mean they aren't saving.  Bills and saving something should always come first, which is why I will have to wait on the suedes lol.

Can someone DM me when the acetone attempt happens on the Sharpie foams. Just need to know if those are Royals underneath...gracias!

Woodgrain foams would be horrible an would rot anywhere, swangas are trash and always have been... I actually do want a set of 22" 100 spokes for my Malibu
What is this?
Le$ is another garbage local rapper, surprised anyone outside of Houston has heard of him.

Woodgrain does feel good gripping.. (now all i need is micheal Watts to slow that down chop it up and i got a summer hit..lol) Le$ is a rapper from that area. He has a few mixtapes.. Setlle for le$ 1 & 2.. look him up.. hes signed with curren$y.. super laid back stuff.. when im down south.. thats what I bang..

Foams with a woofgrain look.. like corks or something?.. terrible idea unless somehow they get it to look good.. but this evening I'm in the south so I will be turning in my second order of fish.. I did take one stunt photo though..lol  but its going to the outlet store..lol
