They weren't DS though. Like a 7/8 outta 10. Yellowing wasn't bad though, at all. And no heel drag.

Wanted the 97 Royals, but that was out of my grasp. In 01 I got a pair of blue pros for around $150 ish. Was the last pair my local FootLocker had, felt like I won the lottery. Next pair was in 03 Black Pros. I wore the blue pros almost everyday from the day I got them to middle of 02. Didn't buy another pair of foams till the 07 royals. I passed on the Dooms even when they were on sale, I don't know WTF I was thinking back then

03' or '04 I got the black pros at Footaction because my homie told me they would last longer while we were at the mall ( I would destroy shoes back then) and the were like 80, traded my low top playoff 8s to a dboy at school for some blue pros. Then copped all black in '07 eggs in '10 and it's been on and poppin since the pines

1st Foams were the Volt Pros. I got them in a trade for some T-Bugs and cash. 98 was the year.

Royal pros in 02 or 01. My homie used her discount for me. Got those but I really wanted the ones. As soon as I heard they were dropping, my pros became hooping shoes. I still have them too.
Loved royals so much that I kept a beat size 12 (I'm a 9.5) in my closet until 07 when I finally got me some ones.
Got scammed on eBay pre 07 for some og royals. Wanted a pair for the right price so bad.
Used to have a large foam collection but not anymore.

That outlet used to get heat on the regular. Had the black varsity red 6 for less than $50 if I remember right. DB 6 for $59.99 tho I didn't catch either.
Outlets used to be the truth back in the day. I remember when we heard will rivera 3 got 4 sample eggplants for like $15 - 30 (can't remember the exact number) tho the soles had yellowed.

First pair was the Army Camo Pros.. Basically saw a couple of my friends on Sneaker News in class and the minute I saw them I had to have them.. Those are basically the pair that really got me Into this culture

My first pair was the OG royal pennys from the summer of 97. I remember seeing a Nike catalog pic earlier in the year and then Bibby wore them in the NCAA champ game. It was a done deal. I had to have them. Skipped out on the blk/wht XII release for them. I still have them at my parents house

First foams were the metallic reds from a few years back. I had always been a fan of foams since 97, however, these were the first I could really afford, I paid 350 off ebay for them. Still salty that I missed all the retros from 2007-2011. I just want a good pair of royals from that time period. :x
