There was some of that too. I thought it was an NYC thing because street vendors are more common there. Most of them were set up in the back right before the Trading Pit. The Trading Pit is something that hasn't been done in Chi when I've gone.

I don't mind the people walking around selling shoes out of their back packs. The problem is that it's mostly kids trying to flip their junk like Weatherman Foams so that they have the cash flow to buy the good stuff.

Knicks are my favorite

Pretty much all of the foam releases this year were ***. Wheats have been erased from my memory.

Best foam of 2014? Heres my top 3, in order.

Knicks (Im a NY'er born and raised and these were easy to get as well)
Yeezy (doesnt matter they restocked 20+ times :lol: )
Shooting Stars (these couldve been #1 if they didnt release in a pack and didnt have the stars on the shoe)

Shooting Stars.. Good Shoe.. TERRIBLE Release.. I cant get rid of my LPP's for even retail.. Those are just dead weights for now
 
Part of me wants to do a Platinum Yeezy Custom Very Bad.. I think With The Right Quality.. It would come out really good.

i may need to get me another pair of stealhs myself too.. Stealths will always be classic. but i want those 1997 blacks with the clear sole.
 
Definitely forgot about the Shooting Stars. Those are definitely up there. I'll take the Knicks but I would have bought the Shooting Stars if they released them correctly.

The stars aligned for me perfectly. I had a legit 20% off code from a delayed NikeID order. I was able to sell my LPP for 200. And I had a free $50 credit that Nike emailed some of us randomly. I still got the huge box in the back of my closet :smh:

Love the shoe though

You and everyone else who was able to move the LPP's I am in PURE Envy of you guys.. The only offer I got was 70 bucks..Hell if i can get 150-180 I'm happy

On the poll, overall 2014 was pretty wack!! I voted SS. Not counting Supremes, #2 would be Solars and #3 Silver camo volts. After that, a bunch of wackness

Exactly! It just brought down the look and exclusivity of the event and paying to attend it for me in the future. If I really need some kicks that I want to see in person and have nothing planned to do and Sneaker Con happens to fall in the city I'm in I'll go, but I'd never plan my schedule around it in the future. But I guess everyone has to make their money somehow so I don't knock them, I just don't have to put my money up for it. Thanks again for the info though.
 
If I had to chose from the list of the best Foams released this year I'd say

1. Yeezy Foam Pro (My favorite foam released this year and I don't even really like Pros, bu this shoe in person is must have. Just always missed out on copping them).
2. Knicks Foam One (I slept on these, but they are really nice in person, but orange and blue color wave is just not worth the price tag of $230 imo).
3. Volt Foams Pro (These have yet to be released, but the bright color wave will definitely have these sitting on shelves. If they go on sale for $180, I'll cop)

All the rest of the foams were an easy pass for me. I am not feeling any of the other foams listed.
 
volt over shooting stars? i like the volt color but the WHOLE shoe? nahhh.

Spidermans are one of my favorites too. wish i could get them for
 
yea my vote went to the Solars. Spideys/Silver Volt colorways can possibly round out my top 5 this year.
