The foams made in Taiwan were the best quality wise! Taiwan is a small country size wise, so I wonder where that factory was, just out of curiousity.

Guys, my memory might be shot and some of us has been in the retro thread before an official Foam thread was even created so some of the OG's might know or remember.
The cactus and the cough drops that released in the past I remember them releasing in the solid volt and solid red sole color first and then they really didn't sell like that.
Then a year later I remember the translucent sole pairs for the cactus and Red cough drops releasing and were much better received.
I may be wrong though, but I think that's how it went.

I've came to the conclusion the number of shoes that I like the color volt on is very small.

Cactus was solid sole, pretty bright. GR I think. Varsity red was solid sole, pretty bright. GR I think. Both 07ish?
Cough drops were 2011 or 2012ish. Varsity red translucent sole, but duller because of the translucency. Hit outlets. The ones that bk style posted are house of hoops exclusive electric greens from 2011. Much more limited so sold well

Those cough drops went SUPER cheap in the outlets, I’m pretty sure they got below $100 at some of them

Yep, the validity reds and the volt pair both came out early 2007. The neon royal pair came out that January. I believe the all black pair came out shortly after that year. I definitely remember the varsity red pair going as low as $100 at a few stores here in PG County…

I remember getting the Cactus and Varsity Reds off someone for like $250 for both. Both are clean colorways but just some of those ones that never hit with the masses
