Anyone ever go out alone?

only for shopping and thats only when i know exactly what i wanna get lol. i actually want to try that solo movie theater thing, my professor said everyone should try it at least once in their life lol.

Because of this thread I'm going to hit up a bar solo dolo tomorrow night................since my so called friends never want to do ****

power to you sir,as i do this semi-often.

The whole point of bars/clubs is so that women have a place they can go and be seduced by men, it's not a secret or anything

Just be comfortable being rejected a few times >D

I gotta try going solo to a bar or club/lounge. All my friends are soooo broke and boring, its kind of aggravating actually because they ask me what I did the whole weekend. Its not like they hit me up or wouldve went so why even ask?

But yo to the guy on the other page, what kinda dude cant shop by himself at the mall? Thats just sad man!

I've never gone out alone. I wouldn't mind going to a small bar just to chill and grab a couple brews on my own. but clubbing? naw, that's just one thing that's not meant to be done solo.

The lounge I understand. Not that I wouldn't go dolo, but it ain't my scene so that's usually someone else's suggestion. But I can't understand if I felt like it, saying no because I don't have company. Maybe I've leveled up.

I've been in a bar by myself before but it only lasted one drink lol... Then again it wasn't many people there so it just felt kind of weird in order to do that you need to be in a poppin bar

I'm extremely personable and social so I've done it. When I moved to a new city for work I didn't know anyone so I had no choice if I wanted to go out. I know a lot more people now and visit my friends in other cities frequently so I don't do it as much but if you can go out solo, meet new people, acquire yambs and have a good time then you can do anything.

As I reach closer to 30 years old I finding that not everyone is built to last. People are becoming burn outs, losers, and all around flakers. Some are cool but so caught up on keeping up appearances everything becomes a crucial decision in an unnecessary social climbing contest.

With that being said, I do a lot of things by myself and have a blast doing so. I'm not a loser with no friends or anything, and I do hang out in groups weekly.
But the freedom of doing ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you ever wanted feels WAY better.

I go camping, for hikes, kayaking, biking, rock climbing etc... Don't have to hear excuses, see funny looks when I ask my boys to ride out with me.

**** em'.

I went to the bar this weekend to have a drink solo after a fight with my girl. Flirted with the waitress and go to know the owner.

But that's protocol for me when flying solo, get to know the staff, everyone will think you're important and the females will want to get to know you.

You can't be dressing like a bum and doing this though. You gotta look like something.

I been on this kick since January 1st. It was a promise to myself to live every moment for ME. And if my "friends" want to be a part of my life they'll find a way.
Been to 12 states, partied, hiked, jogged, and when it gets warm kayak and mountain climbing.

Repped, and that s/n to post content ratio..

I do everything on my own.

Traveled to 13+ countries on my own

eat at restaurants 99% of the time on my own

go to the movies 99% of the time on my own

Throughout childhood, I was the only kid on the block that liked/played baseball so I went to the AAA team games 99% on my own

I had a friend that was like one night before we hit the town "Bro, let me know when you hit up the mall, you're always fly" I'm like dude, I don't shop with other people, we're not 16 anymore spending saturdays at the mall and foodcourts.

I believe and have been told on multiple occasions that I have a gift for talking, socializing, and relating to anyone I encounter. So, please miss me with that forever alone BS. There are those of us who appreciate and thoroughly enjoy being surrounded by our own thoughts and selves. I find it odd that a lot of peers and folks in my generation find it so difficult to do tasks such as eating at restau's, traveling, anything for leisure alone. I know kids in Uni that would search the whole Hall just to find someone to do laundry or grocery runs at the same time as them, because they don't want to go "alone".

and
I like doing things by myself, I say go for it OP.

Going to the movies by yourself is always good too because you don't have to worry about your friend/date or whatever not liking the movie, be in your own little bubble like

Yeah I go to the movies by myself, a lot of my childhood friends are drug dealers or block dwellers so they never venture out of a 2 block radius. And the ones that made something of themselves we do hang out but a lot of them are traveling abroad or handling doctorial stuff. Which is cool. But when we hang we do it BIG.

Going to the movies by myself was the best thing EVER, I started with The Amazing Spiderman and met a few people in line and we hit it off, they're like my movie buddies now. When we see each other at guy movies we sit together and talk ****. But when the movie starts we know how to be quiet and give each other space.

Same thing happened at The Dark Knight Rises, we BOTH met more people and it's like 12 of us that meet up time to time when dope movies come out. We either drink before or have dinner and chat it up before the show. We'll probably get together for IM3 Friday.

I find that by doing this in ALL activities or aspects of my life I meet real people with a GENUINE interest in my activity so it's no b/s attached.

2013 until .... I'm living for ME and me only.

I never do. Nothing wrong with doing so though, I actually wished I could do things on my own sometimes lol

Funny thing is that even though I know a lot of people I usually ONLY hang out with like 3/4 friends. Even then, only 2 of them are everyday friends and what not lol

man i would go a bar solo in l.a.(

Bump to a good topic.

I go to a concert almost every night and usually go by myself.

I don't think it's strange at all (unknown artists/bands), but others may think differently.

Now in my 30's I love my solitude and doing things by myself but that's because I always ran with a lot of people in my teens and 20's. But even then sometimes I would enjoy doing things by myself a lot of times. Sometimes going out looking for women was way more successful pulling one night stands when I was on loner mode.

Also movies I always enjoyed more solo because I like to really get into flicks and unless I went with somebody who is as much of an enthusiast as me because I hated being distracted.

Then of course there were the OD solo missions I would impulsively pull off like going to Reno or Vegas all by myself for a day or two just because I felt like doing something crazy one night and had some bread. Now I just enjoy lounging but there is a great freedom with doing things by yourself. And I think being able to not constantly need companionship is healthy for you.

I plan to start doing this. My friends aren't into a lot of the music I listen to.

Going to concerts alone isn't even that big of a deal. I'm there to listen to the artist not talk to my boys. Only boring part is waiting for the concert to start

After going to 20+ concerts in the past 2 months, I never show up until an hour after doors open.

I just talk to the goofy hipster birds instead of just standing around. I'm the only dude there wearing a suit/tie.
