I just read some of that article Essential posted. It's a damn shame that the best big man in the league right now is that damn soft. It's like they had to treat this dude like a female. Tell him every day how good he is and bring him gifts and ****.

What's gonna happen when Harden gets tired of running around smashin strippers and wants to win something? Is dude gonna start crying again?

Son better wake up.

OMG y'all need to stop bringing up JUST 2014!!!

2014 is just the beginning of the restart, it doesnt mean we are instantly gonna be in title contention

It's not about just 2014 but 2015, 2016, etc....2014 is just the first time we can flex our muscle through the draft & free agency in 100 years lol
But trust it is going to take longer than a couple years to get back to the promise land...it took us 7 years to get back to the Chip after the
Shaq/Kobe Era...It'll prob take us 4 years to get back to title contention. All in all thats not bad.

But its more than just 2014, thats only the beginning.

I've seriously typed this 17 times in here. Thank you for handling this one. I'll get the next.

#Teamwork

I had to check dudes SN to make sure it wasn't you.

Fwiw...LTB(citing multiple sauces) that lal and kaman are "closing in" on a multi yr deal..I dont buy it.they didnt wanna give earl a 2nd yr tm option nut theyll give kaveman a 2 y vets min deal?? This cant be right.

Can't wait for Houston vs Lakers TNT game. You know they already booked it everything. Can't wait to see Kobe smash one on that clown Dwight.

Lol at these "revelations" about d12 refusing to rum pick n rolls last yr. The body languange and facial expressions said it all. Or lack of results. Have fun with harden smangin "thick" "scrippas".

Haha not even, he said it himself last season that he hated pick and roll sets. That's why I'm still scratching my head over going to Houston...harden is one of the best at running the PnR (and they did a lot last year). Only a matter of time before he's at it again...I'm gonna say mid-January hes acting out again

Wow.

Funny, everyone thinks we were "begging" with that billboard, but it was exactly opposite.

We didn't give him "enough" control. Nor should we have. :pimp:

Agreed.

nash and kobe were stunned that dwight was hurt that they did not go to bat for him while injured yet he did not tell them about it. this dude is a woman. straight up female.
Yup female tendencies.
This dude Howard is gonna do the same thing in Houston

I'm so glad the Warriors didn't pick up Dwight. I don't care how good he was, is, or could be, dude is just an embarrassing figure to be associated with. Such a little drama queen. Most of my friends who were Laker fans completely forgot their hatred for Pau cause of him :rofl:I don't get how the country hates on Lebron but not this clown. I always thought he was corny since his Orlando days (pretty sure most of NT does too, it's just the media that tried to play him as some funny, likeable dude back then)

rather have kmart then kaman....

kaman solid, but he not really impactful on the floor.

Kmart has a legit presence when hes out there.

Teague is available huh?? We got money to sign the kid?

Teague is very very solid....he probably one of the quickest cats in the league right now as well.

I hate when people say such and such will work better for us. Maybe Kmart doesn't want to play for us, and maybe he wants more money than we can offer. Either way, having Kaman is better than not having him

kaman is a serviceable big man, esp at 3 mil for the year. it just seems hard to believe the lakers arent offering deals to guys that have seemingly signed bargain deals. ie delfino, collison ( 1.3 mil, thats a steal even if he lost his job last year) . nick young would be a nice pick up ( dude stays out here anyways, always at the club looking for thirsty chicks. i dont know whatever happened to that case against him)

QFT maybe dudes dont wanna run MDAs system maybe they do but not with the lakers set up. so many variables but at the end all were doing is speculating, hoping were able to be decent next year. either way i want basketball season to start already!!

I think Kobe KNOWS Dwight isn't mentally tough, can't be the #1 guy on a championship team, and would have had supbar production during the last 2-3 years on what would have been his 5 year Laker contract. But I think the selfish Kobe knew that even with all of his faults that having Dwight for the next two years gave Kobe his best chance to win #6. I think Kobe felt like he could manage him and get the best out of him for those 2 years so he could reach his ultimate goal. I honestly think though that Dwight has already peaked, and what would have been the back end of his deal would have been ugly for the Lakers. I'm talking an Amare situation.

So overall I think while Dwight leaving is a bad outcome for Kobe, it will ultimately a good outcome for the Lakers.

ok, since nobodys said it yet, ill say it.

lakers are going to make the playoffs.

yea, i said it.

i honestly believe it too

If Pau, Nash and Kobe is healthy enough I'd say we'll be like the Mavs last year, staying afloat and playing for the 8th spot.

^^be careful before somebody pulls out the longevity discreditor argument! ! ! Which turns into the robert horry card being pulled out. .

Anyways, yes..the 6-8th seed ia doable this yr with the correct roster moves and health. D12s production LAST YR is replaceable. Spoon fed dunks and shot altering can be replaced by a mid tier center. Perimeter depth can negate some of the shortcomings.

There's a decent shot they could be the worst defensive team in the league next season.

thing about fighting for the 8th seed is that as an old team we cant be giving 150% playing 48 minutes just to make the playoffs

if we are building towards the future and it comes down to needing to win 5 games in a row to make the playoffs then i say call it a year

but im sure kobe wont think that way

Dudes in here keep complaining on why we aren't making moves is because the FO knows we're terrible soo why waste money on bums ...I'm pretty sure there preparing to tank.. Kobe would have to be a idiot to go against it
