Protank v2 just came in the mail today
nthat.gif
still rockin the V1 and i've been using them for MONTHS.  same head and everything.  they are great.  but last week i picked up an Ithaka (http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/store/111-the-gg/203-ithaka/1685-ithaka.html) clone, the Magoo (http://www.viper-vape.com/atomizers/pro-rba/ismoka-magoo/) and it is hands down the best atomizer i've ever had.  i already rebuilt it with some better silica.

How you like it?
So far so good. If you like V1, you'll like the new one. I'm by no means an expert but aside from the higher customization options it has, in terms of performance I would say it's about the same. Good vapor production and full taste from my juice. The biggest difference I'd note so far is the pull is a little tighter than the OG. I prefer this, though I did enjoy the airy pull from the first version.

If you're debating between the two, its a no brainer, pick up the version 2. More or less same performance, tighter pull, and more options.

parts of me REALLY wants to get into rebuildable (the OCD part of me). However, the lazy part of me just can't see myself rebuilding wicks and stuff. Is it REALLY worth it to do it yourself? Not talking about in terms of saving money either. Talking about in terms of performance.

yea a lot of people *****ed about the 'airy' draw although i always like that.  yea being able to use your own drip tip is nice, i think the biggest improvement is being able to take the whole thing apart for cleaning....not being able to dry out the pyrex tank part was super annoying.

honestly man, i'm not sure.  i mean i am sure because this ish tastes incredible!  but it tasted good straight from the factory.  i don't have a mech mod right now, so all my devices are VV.  so i can't really pulse my coils and have to guestimate as far as hot spots go.  this is also a straight silica RBA so i can't really get all crazy using stainless mesh and that cable rope and stuff.  i really wanna get a z atty pro or something like that so i can go nuts, i just don't wanna spend that much right now.  but i can tell you that rebuilding your own, while being a hell of a lot more fiddly and frustrating at times has (for me) resulted in a juice i had tasting 1000X better.  i would say if you want your overall juice tasting experience to be better, invest in an RBA.  if you like the way your juice tastes now and you don't think you'll like the messing around bits of RBAs to let it alone.  i hope i explained that well enough lol

i just filled a brand new Protank with a brand new head the same juice i've been vaping all day.  it wicked up fine.  the taste just isn't even in the same ballpark compared to my Magoo.  Yes, it tastes a lot better (again, to me) than a polycarbonate carto tank but overall with the build i have in here, there just isn't any comparison.

Honestly making the switch from cartomizers to dripping atomizers was a GREAT choice for me. Money wise, you save because carto's should be changed every 1-2 weeks while re-buildables can last from you from 2 weeks to a month given that you don't put all types of juice to blacken up the coils. Furthermore, you definitely get more vapor and smoke. I thought that rebuilding would also be a hassle but it's actually pretty interesting after you get that first build because you find yourself getting deeper in the hobby and just want to make that perfect build. Make the switch :smokin and if you still want a tank you can get a Hybrid mod or a Genesis Atomizer which is essentially a tank which is absorbed into a stainless steel or eco wick which is also burned by surrounded coils as well.

The third one is a great example of a Hybrid mod, its a Makaveli v.1 I believe. I'm going to purchase it for $120 in upcoming weeks I'll let you know how my first genesis style/hybrid vaping works out for me.

Stay vaping!

Did my 2nd build last night. When I had my ego I never saw myself get into rebuildable atomizers because it looked too technical and me being lazy. But after a friends influence and youtube vids I gave it a shot. I dont regret it one bit! Enjoy the clouds and flavor is significantly noticeable

About to purchase my first vape and was wondering if you guys can help with this. Are these tanks compatible with this battery? Also, if anyone has ordered this battery before, is it really metal smooth on the outside ? I saw another site with the same product but was $5 cheaper and the outside was rubber. I like this model because its smooth metal and 1100 mah. Any help is appreciated. Thanks !

So after reading through this thread twice , reading e cig forum , and watching youtube review/rebuild videos Iv'e decided the setup I want to go with for my first vape. Going to go with the iTaste VW V3.0 with the kanger mini protank 2. I just placed my order for the e juice sampler on Alice in Vaporland , and will be ordering the iTaste kit from FastTech next week. Really excited to get into the vaping lifestyle need to quit smoking blacks. Actually found a black and mild wine flavor e juice hopefully I can get a 2mg made.

Good Decision. You wont regret it. Only gripe is I wouldnt get a B&M flavor if I was you. Its only gonna make you want the real thing. Plus from my experience , tobacco flavors never taste like you want them to...

Time to up my level MG of nicotine. Everytime I drink I still want a cig.

Bout to put in a preorder for the Chi_You. Hopefully it'll be the last mod ill have to buy. This hobby is getting expense. I just want to get into rebuildables and blow them clouds

What mg if nicotine yall use? I get either 20 or 22 mg but I hope to lower it as I go.

Supposedly the Black Jack wine flavor from DIY flavor shack taste better than real black & mild wines. I will only use this flavor when I am stressed. Trust me I wont go back, a pack of b&m cost $5-$7 where i live, and I was smoking 2-4 a day. Not sure what mg I should go with for the juice, I heard real black &milds only have 1 mg of nicotine.

damn, what are you using? I started with 24 to 18 now im down to 12. Personally for me, anything above 12mg on a RBA is brutal. Heart started beating fast as hell

I have an ego-c and a Sigelei Zmax

I used to be a real heavy smoker though.

I'm thinking about getting a rsst and maybe an evic if I can find a deal on one. Quick question about the rsst. Do I have to change the mesh when I want to change flavors? Also, on average how long does the mesh last before having to change it?

^take a torch to the mesh to burn off all the juice or just do a dry burn on the evic. Both would work. Changing the mesh can be anywhere from 2 weeks to a month.
