Honest Opinion On Yellowing?

I don't care about yellowing to be honest. I never understood this concept in the sneaker community. Shoes are meant to be worn. Not saying i'm gonna jump in every puddle I see but some of y'all do the most.

Don't bother fam, if it doesn't make sense to you then it never will. I feel the same way though. I just came to the conclusion a few years ago that people are fully aware of how irrational it is and just can't stop themselves :lol:

WEAR YOUR KICKS!!!! why buy these shoes if you know its going to yellow........no point in avoiding the innetable
 
Only yellowing I dont like is when the netting on the side of white based V's happens.

Looks like someone pissed right in the middle of some snow.

Everything else is fine.
 
I don't like yellowing on AJ 5 netting but only if it's extremely yellow. If it's slightly yellow it's not a big deal to me, even adds character to it....and also this is a lot more noticeable on white based 5's...even though my worn pair of 07 black metallic 5's are definitely yellow...

Also, I don't like yellowed patent leather. This happens a lot on OG Columbia XI's and even the retro's....and for whatever reason, the tongue tab of the All Star XX3's yellow like crazy for whatever reason, none of my other XX3's with patent tongues have had that issue....only that color way...lol

black V's look pretty good w/ yellowing on the netting imo

OH 4 cements look sick when yellowing and falling apart . JMO.

But I think yellowing looks dope.
 
i cant stand the way they yellow with that blue tint. in 2010 i remember copping the cool grey 11s and doernbecher 3s thinking they wont turn yellow........they didnt. they turned green

I really hate yellowing. I think I've sold every translucent outsoled shoe I have because of that, which is a pity since there are some pairs that I had that I really liked. But the first sign of yellowing meant that I'd find them a new home haha. I like the idea of it adding vintage "character" but it just might not be for me. The only pair that I think is an exception are the Wolf Grey 5s.
 
Yellowing doesn't really bother me too much, but I wish they would use more colored translucent soles. especially on retro+ colorways.
 
not a fan of yellowing. sold my 00 concords back in the day because they were piss yellow. goodwill my 99 V because they were yellow as well. i try not to buy clear sole sneakers unless i have to. 
 
YELLOWED SOLES ARE TRASH… HOW BOUT IF JB WENT AHEAD AND DROPPED THE COLUMBIA XI'S THIS DECEMBER WITH FRESH OUT THE BOX PEE SOLES… WOULD THAT ADD CHARACTER OR A WET WIPE???

AND TO THE EXTREMEST … NO THIS DOES NOT MEAN I WANT ROYAL BLUE SOLES…JUST ANYTHING NOT DUCKSAUCE MAN… TO EACH HIS OWN BUT LIKE I SAID… IMO- NO

True Red Xl Lows, Concord Xl Lows, Fire Red V's Grey Tongue + Black Tongue, Laney V's, Oreo V's; all of them gone because of the inevitable yellowed soles. :smh: It's not necessarily an all or nothing thing, as i've seen some shoes with yellow soles and I still think they're all right (Raging Bull V's for example) but for the most part I find it hard to deal with. It is what it is though, nothing's perfect forever.
