Honest Opinion On Yellowing?

Hate yellowing. Still holding out hope somebody figures out a way to extend the longevity of the icyness...the yellowing may add character and make the shoes seem more distinguished but its ugly. I typically rock shoes cuz of how they look not how much "character" they have lol

Yellowing on the soles isn't bad as long as it isn't piss yellow. Plus retrobrite can make it look decent again. It's just the yellowing of the netting on the 5's and heel tab of 3's and etc

With that being said which shoe is yellowing the worse on?

My vote goes to the XI's

But my question is if you were to Seaglow or Retr0brite the soles of 2013 releases what would be the outcome?!

The 11's along with the 6's the only thing u have to worry about is the soles. The 5's your getting the soles along with the netting on the left right and tongue to yellow. My vote goes to the 5's.

However the worse shoe to get yellow are the Colombia 11's because the sole and the leather yellows along with the mesh. :x

You guys are crazy saying that the yellow adds character....

I don't think yellowing of soles and mesh is that big of a deal especially if they are not yellowed to the point that they're Amber. But I rather have them not yellow.

dont like it at all

wish they had some kind of material that wouldnt yellow. just stay icy.

If a shoe is DS or NDS, icey soles are a must. If a shoe has some wear & tear on it & the soles are yellow, I always thought that looked good.

it's not pleasant looking and it doesn't add character, but I don't really care much about it to fix it. If it yellows it yellows, I'm not going out to buy seaglow or anything.

I saw this cat rocking some '99 metallic V's and they were slightly yellowed and they looked really good. I guess it all comes down to personal preference

I have a very strong opinion on the subject as I believe the people have been duped. I feel that there is no way around an icy sole yellowing so people tried to make the best of a bad situation. Instead of sitting around and crying about it or demanding JB make a change in their products, many have been brainwashed to think that their shoes looking like they stepped in urine looks good

. Now you can even hear people talking about their shoes look good with creases. Would these same people appreciate if they bought a new car and the paint chipped away after a year or two and was dented up? Do those dents and cracked paint give your car character? Nope, just looks crappy.

JB wins.

"adds character"

When it gets like that real deep brown almost gum sole color - that's when it adds character, shows that you've been through the fire with those. These new releases with the blue tint will never get that way, they turn green instead.

That piss yellow color is unbearable to me though. I'm looking at my concords right now thinking about saucing them.

When they yellow take them to the gym. They still can break necks there.
I wear metallic Vs at the gym and its awesome.

I do not like yellowing on older Jays. Its because of the oxygen that persists in the area of the shoe.

I think the V's look too bad with yellowing, In fact I think it adds personality.

On VI's, XI's and XVI's though.. It looks bad.

yellowing looks awful. Sure it's natural progression, but who would go out of their way to buy yellowed clear soles.

imo i dont think its that bad i wish they would stay icy but i would say the yellowing does add character
