Has Derrick Rose lost YOUR respect? SRS

I have lost more respect for the whole Bulls organization than him. They should have said he's not coming back this season to end all of this speculation.

And wasn't his injury worse then Shumpert's?

After sitting out an whole season why would you want him to come back in the playoffs? Rusty and out of game shape just doesn't make since to me.

The question I have is at what point is he just soft.

I mean he's cleared medically mentally who knows when he will feel "right"

Say dude doesn't feel right til a year from now.

No.

And it annoys me when people try to tell him when he should be ready to play. That's up to him. I understand that doctors cleared him, but if he's not 100% comfortable out there, he'll do more harm than good. At the end of the day, he has to look out for himself first. **** the fans. **** the critics.
i agree with this only halfway, how will he get comfortable if he doesnt give it a go aginst completion his practicing against team mates is only going to get him somewhat ready, and for him to have the mentality of eff the fans and media is weak the fans and media is what got you that MVP and shoe contract / all star starts / jersey sells cant have it both ways.

I forgot that the rest of his teammates feel 100% comfortable out there
I'm sure they do. Throwing up =/= tearing an ACL and not trusting your knee.

And like I said...
he has to look out for himself first...

Lost my respect officially when he did his interview with Rachel Nichols.

Bruh, the fans are part of the machine that pays him.

Its one thing to get hurt and sit out a whole season. Its another thing to get hurt and constantly push back you're return date, toying with the fans emotions.
They might be a part of the machine that pays him, but he doesn't owe them a damn thing.

Negative. D Rose did that himself. None of that is possible if he doesn't put in the work.

Imagine if it was LeBron who was doing this instead of Rose... He would be crucified to no end by the media and fans.

I don't really mind that he is taking his time... I mean it's up to him. But I don't think he should be getting this free pass from everyone. As a Bulls fan, I know I would no doubt be frustrated. BUt like many have said, it is his body and his decision it's hard to argue that :\

Um last time I checked basketball was a spectator sport, without the fans buying tickets, there would be not team for him to (not)play on.

He doesnt owe them his life/health or anything, but some honesty about the situation would've been nice.

Shumpert had torn acl and torn meniscus.

Rose had torn acl and mcl.

This and different styles of play and different expectations.

Yall are funny.

Dude will come back when he is ready. Who am I to say he should be back because someone else came back HE should have come back already.

No. He isn't losing any respect/

I want yall to try something, next time something happens to you that makes you unable to go to work, come back "when you get ready" and see what happens.

nah, now he says its muscle memory :rolleyes

whats gonna be his next excuse?

Fans buy his jerseys , shoes , and vote for allstar starters. The media vote on MVP

I simply hate the excuse that "why come back and just lose to Miami?"

By that logic he should sit the next 2 years out.

He should have shut it down for the season. Then I don't think fans would be as pissed. If this was lebron or even melo I think t would be a huges Tory with the press going super negative. Rose has escaped the criticism. In a huge market too. It's pretty surprising.

If this was Lebron, there definitely would've been some assassination attempts...

The funny thing about all this is that his actual return to the court will be just like the lockout: ya'll are going to forget within three seconds that he ever sat out a season. Or, at least not care. That's why I don't believe anyone when they say they've lost respect for him. You're a victim of the moment, and will come crawling back after his first 25-5-5 game.

Shump ballin & they were injured da same day...

This.. And don't give me that different style of play BS, Both of them base their game off athletic ability and shump is killing out there .

Shump>Rose

It's because people can't forget something that never happened. When Rose comes back next year and plays like typical Rose, then everyone will go on talking about how great he is and how good the Bulls chances are of winning. It's the fact that it's impossible to know what this playoffs could bring if Rose were playing. Maybe he comes back and they somehow in the Championship. Obviously this never happens if he isn't playing, but the point remains...He should be out there helping his team if he's physically able to do so.

None of that is possible if he doesn't put in work. If he was a bum, his jerseys wouldn't sell, his shoes wouldn't sell, and he wouldn't get any allstar or MVP votes.

So I'll say it again, none of that is possible if he doesn't put in the work.

if doctors cleared me to play 2 months ago and I'm running full practices with my teammates, be damned if I say nah I'm not ready.

Its the playoffs and the team needs him, can't take these post season trips for granted because nothing is ever guaranteed.

As hard as he plays I lost respect for him and he deserves the criticism.

Maybe I'm missing the point but Derek can be the greatest player ever but without fans its irrelevant.

There is no league to give him MVPs without fans.
