Justice League - The Flashpoint Paradox

what was the point of this movie? just saw it the other day. Injustice > Flashpoint.

It just seemed like a giant tangent.

Its the butterfly effect/BTTF story that DC has already done.  Flash goes back in time to change something, everything changes, *gasp*. Makes it back to his present day with a letter to Bruce from his father... shoulda went back and got Gray's Sports Almanac.
was not impressed, and i love time travel movies

It reset the whole world and it is DCs way of introducing the New 52. As you'll notice, Flash' suit is different in the new present time (the end), that is his New 52 suit. So from now on, assuming they'll continue this route now, the stories will be based off of the New 52. The next film, JL: War is also a New 52 storyline and in the new 52, almost everyone's origins is slightly different.

Just like RFX noted, Flashpoint is the introduction to DC's New 52 universe. It's actually canon. Injustice is one awesome story as well, but it's not canon though. I would say that is where the big difference is.

DC UNIVERSE ANIMATED ORIGINAL MOVIES ARE GOING TO BE IN GOTHAM FOR A WHILE

Last night the latest DC Universe Animated Original Movie, Justice League: The Flash Point Paradox, screened at Comic-Con. At that screening Warner Bros. made a quick announcement, sans many details, about the next films in the line after the forthcoming and recently announced Justice League: War (based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee’s first Justice League arc in The New 52.)
Not surprisingly, the films are going to be staying in Gotham City for most of 2014. The next two films will be:

Batman and Son – An adaptation of Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert’s story in Batman #655-658 that introduced Damian Wayne to the modern day comic book world.
Batman: Assault on Arkham – A film that takes place in the world of the popular Batman video games.

A few interesting points here. Clearly the fears, after Flashpoint and War, that these films would move on exclusively into The New 52 world were baseless. Also, Assault on Arkham is an interesting way to go–basing a film in the video game world that has nothing to do with the comics, though there has been a comic book tie-in–and I have to admit that it raised my eyebrows a bit. It does makes sense considering the popularity of the games. Finally, I can see the complaints coming already about two Batman films in a row and the wider complaint about films that continue to only seem to focus on Batman, Superman, and the Justice League. From a fan perspective it kind of sucks that Warner Bros. animation doesn’t think it makes financial sense to branch out past the core three DC brands, but from a business perspective I can understand it.
More news as it comes in.

glad this anime delivered.

i remember being disappointed by the marvel iron man and wolverine

DC cartoon movies have always delivered.  Ever since Mask of the Phantasm

Still waiting on DC Animated to come out with Knightfall - KnightQuest - KnightsEnd..... :pimp:

That was my favorite arc ever as a kid! I guess they would have to do a Sword of Azrael Movie as a prequel!

When they released Superman: Doomsday, I thought Knightfall was next on the list. I still wonder why they didn't go that route.

Or a Kingdom Come film!!!!

That would definitely be awesome!

The animation on this isn't the best for sure, some looks really disproportionate and not in a exaggerated comic book way either.

Unrelated but this artwork is awesome.

Me too man.

That was a really really good show.

Too bad they had to replace it with that awful Teen TItans garbage.

I read that the main reason the show didn't get renewed was because their merchandise (toys) weren't selling well. Lol :smh:

What do y'all think of beware of the batman?

I watched the episode with Magpie and it was alright. The animation is good and I really like that they're focusing on the lesser known villains. The only thing I didn't like is that it seemed a little hokey at times...almost like the Adam West Batman.

Yep. It was because of the toyline failing. Product was pulled before season 1 ended. Sucks that a great show had its fate decided by kids and their parents. Same happened to the Thundercats reboot. A damn shame. Better than the OG series.

Movie was pretty good...

Can somebody explain who read the comic (if it was even in the comic) why Aquaman and Wonderwoman got it on and then she killed his wife. It seemed like they were having a peace treaty and getting it on then it went to Wonder Woman killing his wife I was very confused by that part

I am not that big of a fan of the new 52 so far but it was nice how they handled Thomas Wayne wish they would've showed the Alternate Joker Though....

I haven't kept up with comics in years, but

Is the alternate joker Bruce Wayne's mom In that universe?

damn an arkham movie based of the games sounds crazy. bring the legends conway and hamil to voice :pimp:

First, Hamill retired from
Joker and second, who the hell is Conway?

Conroy is a better option tho
